SOG Access Card 2.0: An EDC knife for skinny jeans!

DSCN0303Ladies, I have found the perfect knife for us! I have been looking for a good neck knife or at least a good knife that I could carry in my jeans pocket without adding any bulk. The SOG Access Card 2.0 Knife would be good for either purpose. I know that it would be discovered with a metal detector, but short of that – no one would know you had it on you, even in skinny jeans, maybe even in yoga pants. It is the perfect Every Day Carry (EDC) knife and it will now be on my person at all times – unless I am heading to the airport!

The fact is it is extremely compact, and at just over 3 ounces, SOG has engineered nearly all the excess weight out of it. Because of this, it also makes an easy carry for men, a great extra knife to slip in your flight suit or ballistic vest for military or police, and ladies – why not keep an extra in your purse?! You will never have to ask a man to borrow his knife again. This minimalistic knife is only 3/16th of an inch thick without the removable clip. You could even keep it in your wallet.

For it’s small size, the SOG Access Card 2.0 is extremely strong. The way the grip was designed, it feels great in my hand and the arc lock is quick to open, even one-handed. The Access Card 2.0 locks open and provides all the strength and stability needed to cut anything the sharp SOG blade can handle.

The clip point shaped blade is 2.75” in length, and has a straight edge. It is made of VG-10 stainless steel, a quality cutlery grade stainless steel that is manufactured in Japan. All of these features ensure you will be able to sharpen this knife quickly to a long-lasting fine edge.

As I said, the clip is removable, and it is also reversible if you prefer the clip on the other side. When closed the knife is the length of a playing card, only 3.45”. When fully extended, it measures 6.2”.

I tested this knife for strength and usefulness, it was able to cut anything that I could imagine and endured a great amount of force. SOG says the Arc Lock was tested at 1,000 pounds of force, and I can tell you, when it is locked open, it feels almost like a fixed blade.

I was looking for a knife I could carry without adding bulk to my clothing, but I did not want to compromise on strength or utility. This SOG Access 2.0 knife is exactly what I was looking for!
