Hey guys! Long time listener first time caller.. I know you get similar questions but I’d like to know what each of you would immediately do to upgrade my recent purchase of a Springfield Saint Victor Pistol. If you had another 1000 bucks to make it shit hits the fan ready to rack and rock your way through zombie fed boys, in minecraft. If we did have some sort of collapse and the weapon you have is what u have.. how would you level this thing up including spare parts to keep in the bag with it for an uncertain future. # 5 squares. # don’t say I’d start with a different rifle cuz I already bought it… P.s. you guys really do a great job balancing fun and knowledge. Thanks.

I am an LEO and I’m currently looking for a duty rifle. Unfortunately my department has a relatively restricted list of approved rifles. I have narrowed down the list to my top 3 brands. BCM, Daniel Defense, and LWRC.
Yes I know these may not be the brands most of you would pick but based on the ones we are allowed to carry these are the only good options.
We are required to have “manufactured rifles” so basically all we can change is furniture.
BCM was my first choice but with the market the way it is now I can’t find one to buy.
So my real question is between LWRC and Daniel Defense which would you pick for a general purpose patrol rifle.
And for Jeremy, I work in an urban environment just out side of a major city. No major green spaces over 200 yards in the city except for an airport. I currently I am a patrol officer and 90% of the shootings/gun calls I respond to are inside of bars/clubs or apartment buildings.

Everyone knows Savage, Ruger, Christensen, Remington, Tikka as great manufacturers of bolt guns. But why does no one know about Sauer? Mention any of the other names to gun guys and they smile and nod. Mention Sauer and they say…”like Sig Sauer?” I bought a Sauer for my hunting rifle and it continues to be the finest bolt gun I’ve ever fired. So why doesn’t this country know more about a company that’s been making amazing rifles for over 150 years?
Thanks for the thoughts. Love you all long time.

This might seem like a strange question, but do you guys see any value in integrating a body camera into your plate carrier. Obviously most of us will never use our plate carriers unless we are at the range or training in the woods. However in a SHTF or defensive situation, having first person footage would be invaluable for legal, and ethical justification. I think it would also make a cultural statement for us gun-owners and 2A advocates. It’s like saying “I have nothing to hide here. This is my constitutional right, and if I ever have to use it I will have proof it was legally and/or ethically justified.” Interested in hearing your opinion

Another strange question for y’all. Recently I’ve been running something out of the ordinary on my tac gear/ range plate carrier. I used to play paintball so I had a few 68 cubic inch carbon fiber air tanks lying around. Using a small scuba regular I picked up for about $150, I’ve secured it to my vest via molle, and ran the respirator up to the same area my hydration tube is. The whole system only adds about 3.5 pounds to my gear and provides me with 20-30 minutes of air depending on conditions.
The reasons I have this at all are as follows: #1 if need be, I could “dive” in the semi-shallow lakes or rivers I have in my area. #2 in case of a fire I have fresh smoke and soot free oxygen. #3 i can provide oxygen if needed to those who have been injured, as opposed to the the process of setting up a breathing bag. #4 with a couple adapters and the right regulator setting the tank can be used to top off tires, run compressed air tools, or deep cleaning your gun by “spraying” air out the valve.
Over all I think the benefits outweigh the extra weight. I’m interested to hear y’all’s opinions. Thanks

Hey guys, I just started my .300 blackout build and I had some questions about length, velocity, and barrel material.
To start with, I’m going to make a pistol between 6 and 9 inches and was wondering, since I have heard that 9 inches is generally preferable, if 6 inches or 7.5 is a massive hindrance to overall effectiveness with everything from subs to supers. I have seen some data regarding the length but nothing with any degree of specificity regarding popular grain weights.
And as for barrel material, as Jeremy mentioned in my last question about barrel life, would it generally be better to get a harder carbon steel barrel if I plan on abusing it and shooting it a ton, or does it matter less with this cartridge, as it won’t be used for anything beyond 150 yards at the very max?
Thanks guys
Also Matt should be on more shows, dudes great on TWIG and was a blast on Thursdays shows
