Shotgun Her

I’ve heard a few times on this show people ask about hunting podcasts on the firearm radio network. I’ve recently started listening to the meateater podcast and I’m wondering if you’ve listened and/or considered it? I’m still undecided. It is a different view into firearms and and I like getting out of the echo chamber. I don’t enjoy his show on Netflix though. I just shot a spike whitetail buck at 7 yards on the ground while less than a quarter mile from the village I live in; while listening to his episode with the Quality Deer Management Association. Maybe you guys can get some guests from these types of organizations and get out of the echo chamber, more like you did with that reporter. Our communities are very tied together in ways we don’t realize. Just interested in your thoughts. Thanks and keep up the great show. #SSB #WLSISLIFE

Question for Jeremy and Nick. What do you guys use for oil in the field. Recently I was turned on to shooters choice grease. I love how it works and lasts for thousands of rounds. However, I was out hunting the other day and got snowed on. When I got home I hit the gun with spray rem oil to prevent rust. It got me thinking do I need to open the gun up and wipe the whole thing wasting the grease in it? What do you use on your field guns and what do you do after a wet day in the field? #SSB #WLSISLIFE

I just posted an article in the FB group about a West Virginia hunter that got a 17 point buck after following it for 6 years. My wife won’t let me hunt, but I’m fascinated by it. But my understanding is that deer lose their antlers every year. And they move around. So how do we hear about people watching deer grow up? Do they have different amounts of points each time? And is it true that the best way to fuck a deer is to make it face a cliff edge so it pushes back? Thanks guys.

Dear WLS

This question is almost exclusively for Jeremy. I recently picked up and FNX .45 tactical from a local brand name farm store for $750. That is not a typo, that is they legit price I paid for a gun that is normally close to $1300. What has experience been with the gun so far? Has he had any problems with it or done any aftermarket work to it? Is there a big recall at FN or is this just a store getting rid of inventory that isn’t selling? It seems like almost way too good of a price to pay for that quality of a gun. Love the show guys #WLSisLife #GUNGULT #HopeIdidntjustgetalemon

Jeremy, is it the new kid or the regularity of getting laid in a new marriage that has made you a better person again? Lately you’ve been like the Jeremy of old. #SSB #WLSISLIFE

I’m in va. Apparently we’re gonna see an attempt for a assault weapons ban. I know There will be a lot of civil disobedience but what comes after that? Do we just burry our guns? Do we leave them in the safe hoping not to be searched? I’m genuinely concerned about this, especially since stripped lowers are registered as lowers. If it was registered as rifles then they wouldn’t know if it was a bolt action or a AR but that’s not the case. They know exactLy who has bought lowers. WhAt dO We dO!?!?

You folks keep mentioning how easily it is to get yer FFLs and talking about how great it is but I notice you guys never mention the wallet rape that is itar fees if you so much as manufacture one thing. Which is such a broad statute. Does it mean my personal use AR builds? My polymer 80s? My hand loading? At what point does Aaron’s kitchen ffl over there making a whole 74 dollars in a year in gun sales and transfers get fucked by that 2200 dollar fee?
