Hey fellas! I wanted to see if you guys could help me figure out a carry solution for my particular situation. I had my gall bladder removed and the surgery left me with abdominal adhesions, thus causing quite a bit of mid-section pain. When I tighten up my belt, it hurts all day, so I have to wear it loose. I am currently wearing a double layer leather gun belt, but I can’t tighten it enough to keep a holstered weapon from dragging my pants down. I tried a steel core, ratcheting belt made for carry, but that caused so much pain I ended up having a CT scan to rule out any unknown medical issues. This leaves me with very few on-body carry options. I work at a gun shop on a bad side of Anchorage and I really need to always have a gun with me. Any suggestions? Thanks!

So, I install aquariums for a living, what is the legality behind me carrying my gun into a costumer’s house? Let’s say someone attacks me while I’m in there house and I have to shoot them, what would happen to me then?

Hey guys! Love the show. I also love a sweet-sweet-butthole as much as the next guy, but must admit it almost got me fired. I started in a new department recently. On my second day I went to a planning meeting where everyone kept talking about different projects and their respective scope, schedule, and budget. The reason I almost lost my job is because instead of saying scope, schedule, and budget, they all said SSB and I had to explain why that made me laugh. I lied. Anyways, I know Jeremy hates stupid questions like “What holster do you recommend?” So my question is; “What shooting podcast do you recommend?”

Looking into getting into some sort of longer range shooting, I live in western North Carolina, and as such, longer ranges aren’t as accessable, we have a local range that has a 250 yd. Precision range and my property will only ever see the longest at about 150. I’ve been looking at grabbing a ruger american ranch in 450 bushmaster with a swampfox 1-4x as I have an interest in some sort of big bore precision. Do any of you guys have experience with this platform or any alternate recommendations, or should I just stick with something more traditional as a do all for range time and occasionally hunting?

Could you please look into and discuss the new NRA program, “NRA CCW Course” ( https://www.americanrifleman.org/articles/2019/6/5/nra-launches-50-state-nra-ccw-course/ )?

The idea seems sound, an NRA credentialed course with “modular” components which allow it to be customized to each State’s legal CCW requirements. The NRA certainly has the experience and know-how to be able to put together a course such as this and, as an NRA Certified Instructor, it sure sounds enticing on the face of it. However, the requirement that an already credentialed Instructor must take the course as a student sounds a bit iffy, particularly when considering that it is designed to be different for each state but transferable to anther state; just add and subtract the appropriate “modules.” We have been burned by the NRA before with programs that sounded good on the face but when details came out turned out to be nothing more than over-hyped revenue streams. Carry Guard Training sounded good on the run up until it became clear that it was intended to undercut the thousands of local NRA’s Certified Instructors. Carry Guard Insurance sounded like a no-brainer until it became clear that it was actual insurance and was rolled out in such a way as to deliberately damage former partners, now competitors, particularly the USCCA.

Is this “CCW Course,” while sounding good on the face of it, just another attempt to part long-suffering NRA Certified Instructors from their money to enrich Wayne LaPierre and his cronies?

Shawn do you carry epinephrine in your med kit? I have a hard time fitting epipens and auvi-q in my med kit. I have an allergy to bees and my daughter to cashews. If I’m at the range or in the woods or at the store I like to have it with me. Any suggestions for a good carry kit? I like that kit you showed the other week with the app. As a prior serviceman with combat lifesavers training the app would be good for me to review as I have time.

Something you were expecting to be gimmicky or didn’t think much of, but when finally used or reviewed, it surpassed your expectations to the point where you became true believers.
