Assuming the cost of ammo was not an issue and using similar length barrels (say 16″) which caliber of PCC would you choose and why? 9mm, .40, 10mm, or 45ACP? Before Jarambe says “For What?” let’s assume you are going to assault and clear a building, range is 200 yards down to bad breath distance.\\

I’m considering purchasing a small, lightweight firearm to carry periodically when donning a full carry rig is not possible or desired. Example: quick trips to The store in athletic shorts or sweats, or church attire, or places where particular attention to being discreet is necessary. With those parameters, I don’t want to drop a lot of cash on a gun that will be mainly collecting dust and seldom called into actions. So, budget subcompact semi-auto like SCCY or Kel-tec, or budget j-frame size revolver like Taurus???

This question is mainly for Jeremy and Nick but I guess the rest of you can chime in as well.
How effective is a 7.5 in AR pistol? I have a 10.5 and really enjoy it but want something a little smaller and lighter to carry in my backpack. Won’t be for home defense because I know that a 7.5 in would kill my hearing in the house without a can on it.
Would a 9mm AR pistol be a better choice?
