• Polymer80 kicks the state of Nevada’s ass: State of Nevada failed to clearly define what an unfinished receiver is (Constitutionally vague), State of Nevada was found to have harmed (substantial impact) Polymer80’s ability to conduct business therefore they have standing, Vague on what blank casting or machine body means. Reasonable probability of success on merits. Judge recognizes that something/unfinished receiver is either a firearm or not a firearm and as long as something is not a firearm, it does not need to have a serial number. Not issuing an injunction on specific sections (3) because they have not taken effect yet (Jan 1st), therefore, no one is impacted. Judge wants to have the suit settled before Jan 1 but Polymer80 can have an injunction against that section if the suit is not settled before then. Sections 4 and 5 are not an issue – makes it illegal to own/possess/assemble/manufacture a firearm without a serial number. People can still be charged.
• VCDL sues Coalition to Stop Gun Violence for $450k over libel.
• Biden says he will sign on to UN Small Arms Treaty that would require all firearms to be registered. So, fun fact, the president does not have that authority. “The Treaty Clause is part of Article II, Section 2, Clause 2 of the United States Constitution that empowers the President of the United States to propose and chiefly negotiate agreements between the United States and other countries, which, upon receiving the advice and consent of a two-thirds supermajority vote of the United States Senate, become binding with the force of federal law.”

I left a review for the show previously, but I want to show The Gun Cult some love. As a listener, it’s awesome to support all of the sponsors but there’s two things that you should absolutely do. I really appreciate the way Jessie and Erin are able to breakdown their sometimes opposing points of view in a constructive manner. Nate brings an extremely liberal if not progressive point of view but it is wonderfully countered (albeit respectfully) by Steven (the guy from Oregon) Thanks for all your hard work and attention to detail!
