Second Call Defense
I was sitting in the movie theater watching the new Star Wars and as I always do I was making my plan for what would happen if someone went nuts and started shooting. The theaters were packed and that always makes me nervous.
Sitting in the dark I realized that the second a maniac started shooting, the audience cringes, starts looking around with impaired hearing. We’ll be blinded by the muzzle flash. That’s the point where the panic would set in. People start standing up and trying to escape. In watching scenarios we know that it won’t be people scooting in a line to the end of the row. They will be panicked, pushing, falling over chairs and other people. Utter chaos.
I started to think about this situation and my response should it occur. I imagined the utter chaos, people pushing, bumping, screaming. My senses overwhelmed by the concussion of the guns, blinded by the flash.
So if I was fortunate enough to identify the shooter, identify the situation and be able to aim without being bumped and I decided to take the shot, I think we can all agree that “be aware of your target and what lies behind it” is almost impossible in this situation.
If I engage the shooter and unintentionally injure or kill another theater goer what happens?

Everything you do is to protect yourself and your family. Whether it’s house insurance, car insurance or carrying a firearm. After a house fire, you’ll rebuild. Going Ballistic with Savage1r (News/Politics/Etc.) Year in Review

This was the year of unchecked media sensationalism. Claims of crime explosions and mass mass shootings despite all factual evidence of the opposite. The media has failed, some have realized their failure, and are rebounding.
This is the year that america has changed its mind about guns and decided that failed policies should be left behind. They also decided to buy guns, not just a few guns, but a LOT of guns.
The lesson that the anti-rights crowd will never learn, and this is our greatest advantage, is that the more they push for more control, the more Americans resist. It is our duty as americans to fight for ALL of our rights. The Constitution isn’t an a-la carte menu. You may not agree with some of the constitution or some people’s rights as have been outlined by the Supreme Court, but letting one amendment or one right fall sets up the rest to go down like a house of cards. 2015 was the year where we put our foot down. Before, we had given ground, made concessions, acted ashamed as if believing in our right to bear arms was some kind of evil that we were responsible for. 2016 needs to be the year we move forward, and keep moving forward until we’ve taken back the ground that was taken from us. We no longer need to feel ashamed. We are responsible adults, not children who need to be talked down to by the politicians and leaders who have their own interests in mind, rather than the interests of the people who elected them. We fight back by supporting each other, by supporting the organizations who support us, and by using the ballot box as our ammo box to bring people into leadership positions who we can trust to do the right thing. Not just for some of us, but for all of us. Regardless of race, religion, or nationality, We will stand together and we will win.
