I've been shooting for years and just started listening to gun podcasts. I've been looking for a way to get my wife more interested in shooting (my 10 year old son is already hooked) and I think this podcast might be the extra boost. Thanks for the info and laughs. The prank calls are great!

This is a great show that cuts through so much of the firearm related vitriol in the media for keeping abreast of current events in firearms, related news, policy, and events. Keep it up guys!

Jeremy is a Boss and Nick is always on top.

This show has it all. Gun and Gear reviews, partially homosexual, eqaulity not racist (except Savage), wider variety of content (especially Voda), and keeps on delivering. Jeremy is the star of show and exeryone clings on his coat tail. Keep it up!!!!

Shawn, next time you decide to have a back alley abortion in a dumpster fire at least have the common courtesy to find an alley and not do it on the show...by leaving. Aaron sounded as usual, stupid and static. Great segment by savage. Nick uhhhmed it up like a true savant bookended only by his electronic incompetence. Jerambe was ( I can't believe I'm saying this ) tolerable. Almost missed whats her face. Your show was broken. You are basically a dead beat dad. I'm sending you a high point.

Great show. Love listening every week. I want to compliment A-A-Ron for his camera work. Smart to only show from the waist up and never do any shoe/boot reviews. Also, your insulin and test strips are ready for pickup at CVS, and your prosthetic is on back order. Call me so you can pick out a different one.

Jeremy, congratulations now that your herpaghonasyphilaids has gone into remission. Your cousin is still having flare ups, so be careful next time.

Shawn, I understand counseling and the budding relationship between you and Nick is helping you both, so that’s great. Remind him that it’s almost time to refill the narcolepsy meds this month.

Not what I expected

I thought this show was called "We Like Shooting Up". I was looking forward to discussions of the finer points of injectable opiates. Turns out its actually about firearms and firearms accessories.
I wasn't sure how I felt about that, since ghost guns with shoulder things that go up kill 93 million Americans every day. Even so, this is a pretty great show. The cast (which includes a former Marine with fewer state-side kills than Caitlyn Jenner and a man who eats white cake and shoots brown targets) seems to be knowledable, or really good at making stuff up. At the end of the day, this show is definitely worth listening to. Thanks for reading, and shoot up.

Prior to taking Civilian Medical I with Shawn Herrin, I had ZERO medical training. I did the typical YouTube school and watched some videos from reputable people on how to apply a TQ, use QuikClot, and the importance of chest seals. Going into the class I knew that there were probably going to be some things that I did not know and that I would learn a good bit of life-saving information. Both of those turned out to be an understatement.
If you carry a gun on your person every day, or some days, or have people that you care about, and you haven't received this training, you're setting yourself up for failure. We carry a gun on us for the unlikely event that we will need it to save someone's life. Shouldn't you have some training and skills that are specifically tailored to saving someone's life?!

Shawn does an excellent job of starting off slow enough to not lose anyone before 10:00 am while challenging students to the point that they must be an active participant in class. The material is well thought out and flows very well. Before you know it it's time for a working lunch, and you'll soon be wrist deep in simulated blood and pork shoulder.

The practicals are really where this class earns it salt. It is highly evident that Shawn has put countless hours into developing and re-working the scenarios that students are put through.

At the end of the day, you can decide to take this class, or one day regret that you didn't. You won't be disappointed and you'll gain life-saving emergency trauma training.

My name is Jeremy Pos... uhh Mozderac. WLS is the best podcast out there. What’s the best part you ask? Well that’s easy... it’s all dudes!!! They did have a chick named Ava but that didn’t count because it turned out she was actually the actor who played that freakin nerd Paul from the wonder years. The one guy nick is hideous, it looks like a coyote gave birth and then died on his face. Listening to savage is slightly worse than watching grass grow... while a lawn mower slowly rolls over your head. Looking for advice from MG Moses? Forget it, you’d might as well get you firearms info from the 75 year old oriental lady at the Walmart jewelry counter, seriously where’d they find that troll? The host Shawn has aids. You can find me... oops... I mean that guy Jeremy lying facedown at you local Ohio truck stop mens room trying to see how many dudes it takes to completely cover up my punisher skull tramp stamp with their gravy. Also I think Illinois listeners are the best.

Civilian Medical 1 is a MUST have for anyone who wants to be able to help save someone's life in the event of severe trauma. This is NOT a 1st aid class. You won't learn how to put on Band Aids or clean a minor cut. You will however learn how to apply a tourniquet to stop arterial bleeding. You will learn how to pack a wound that does not allow tourniquet for use. You will go through mock scenarios where you are the 1st responder and have to assess the situation and provide care while waiting for EMS. This was a very thorough class that provides a lot of hands-on practical exercises. Shawn and his crew did a great job! I highly recommend taking Civilian Medical 1.

My husband and I took this Civilian Medical 1 class when it was held in Illiinois. This was not our first civilian medical/trauma aid class that we have taken but it was the best one. I am an RN and even being a healthcare professional I gained a lot of knowledge from this class. There were a couple of things that really stood out and made this class superior to other civilian medical/trauma aid classes. The first was the wound packing. I have packed many wounds in my day and easily completed this task in a previous class on a dummy...that being said, this class uses meat and has a system to simulate active bleeding which definitely ups the difficulty level and requires attention allowing you to learn the skill similar to how it would be in a real life situation. The second thing that really stood out is the fact that actual scenarios are run to simulate events that require you to use the assessment skills and training that you have learned in the class, which is something I haven't seen in other classes. I could say so many good things about this class but I'm not writing a book:-). Overall I recommend this class for everyone. The training, skills, and knowledge learned in this class were far above and beyond what I have seen in other similar classes. M. Kopinski BSN, RN
