Dear WLS

  • Steven S – I’m about to adventure into the macdaddy build and I wanted to hear how Shawn and Nick set up the orientation for their receiver print. I’m using the ender 3 pro and tree supports. Should I have the grip side up or down? Slightly tilted? Any help on how you did yours would be appreciated. Thanks

  • Dis Mutta Futka – I swapped my Glock 43x slide for a slide from PSA that has a built in compensator; PSA Dagger Micro C-1. Basically, it has a 43 barrel in a 48 slide and a couple of cuts on the top. It’s unfortunately not ejecting the empties correctly. I’ve tried a PSA and a Glock OEM frame and recoil springs in different combinations. I’ve tried a Glock, PSA, faxxon and Brownells ported barrel and it’s still not working. I haven’t tried buying a 48 length barrel yet. Could this be my issue or is there another path to take? No notes

  • Combat Soup – What are your guys favorite songs about guns or with guns in them?

  • cantleavegoodenoughalone – I work out a lot, as in lift weights. I’m not a bodybuilder, but I have a big chest, no discernable belly and a V shaped torso. This isn’t a brag, humble or otherwise, it’s just a physical description before my question. Can you explain appendix carry to me like I’m 5? I want to be able carry appendix, but nothing I’ve tried carrying is anything but obvious. I don’t mean printing. I mean, “hey, look, there’s the frame of a gun on his stomach.” I live in South Texas and I don’t get cold easily, so hoodies are an option about 3 days a year. I’ve tried compact pistols all the way down to pocket pistols with holsters with and without a “claw”. It’s always obvious. I guess my LCP works okay, but anything larger and I have a growth that’s not fat on my stomach. I’ve been carrying for 20 years and I can make a full sized 1911 disappear at 4 o’clock, but appendix doesn’t work for me. Help?

  • Warrior of the Weekend – Hey dudes, I’m interested to know how often you all rotate your carry ammo? Do you avoid re- chambering the same round over and over to minimize bullet setback?I usually leave my carry gun chambered and holstered even when it’s not on me, but stored in my safe of course. Thanks guys. No notes

  • AJ J – Hello ladies and gentlemen, Pardon me, I’m not being inclusive of the 47 other genders…. Please let me start again.. SUP FUCKERS…. I think that should cover everyone! I recently picked up my first AR Pistol with 7.5 barrel in 5.56 and plan to add a folding adapter and suppressor. This will be used primarily as my bump in the night gun, used to eliminate pest from the yard (mostly armadillos) and whatever else may need to be taken care of. I have 2 questions. 1) using a red dot on this setup, what’s a good range to site it in? I’m thinking 50-yard range but not sure if there is a key sweet spot for the 7.5” barrel. 2) What suppressor would you recommend for this setup? Initially I was looking at the Bowers VERS 30 but per the rating it lists a barrel length restriction for 10.5” for 5.56. So, I’m now looking at the VERS375. It does not have a barrel restriction but does have a no mag dump restriction which shouldn’t be a problem. This suppressor will live on this pistol and will only be removed for cleaning. The most important item for the suppressor is I want the pistol to be hearing safe when fired. When I go safety off, I don’t want to worry about if anyone around me has on hearing pro before I put lead on target. As always thank you for any advice and I really enjoy the show.

  • Randy – Is it kosher to use tri lug on a 350 Legend pistol? It will only be used for hunting or shooting subs. No mag dumping into trash. Built (assembled) the pistol to be something akin to a magnum caliber handgun, that’s a little more convenient/controllable. And .350 is little more than AR compatible .357 Remington Maximum. Thanks for your input, even A-A rons!
