This episode of Double Tap is brought to you by: Brownells, Black Rhino Concealment, Gideon Optics, Medical Gear Outfitters, Blue Alpha, and Mitchell Defense

Welcome to Double Tap, episode 381! Your hosts tonight are Jeremy Pozderac, Aaron Krieger, Nick Lynch, and me Shawn Herrin, welcome to the show!

Dear WLS

  • Joe E – Winchester has brought out a new rimfire round, 21 Sharp. It uses a .22lr casing but a smaller diameter bullet to allow for more modern projectile design. Do you all think that we are looking at another 30sc or 5mm rimfire? Or might we have a cheap, accurate, modern prairie dog killer that won’t make Shawn insane?Jeremy’s a cunt.”

  • Maxwell F – Did you guys know that they call it the mid west because everything is mid

  • Nate H – I’m planning a lightweight, compact carbine/pistol build for mountain/forest use, been leaning towards .300 blackout, thought about building an AR but folding buffer tubes add weight. Been considering something like the PSA Jakl or a BRN-180, aiming for 8.5″. Any recommendations/thoughts for a build like this? Thanks in advance, also Jeremy’s a cunt

  • Ben B – Kansas has a stupid background check delay for anyone under 21 and I currently am. My question is why does mine take so much longer than my buddies. I have my CCW and absolutely no criminal history so what’s the deal?

  • Alex P – Hey WLS crew! Imagine with me for a minute that the ATF did not exist (we can hope), and there was no laws or regulatory framework in place that made any sort of firearms illegal to own, tax stamps are not a thing, and you don’t have to have any licensing to own or make things like SBRs, SBSs, full auto firearms, or NFA devices. WOW, what a thought! Do you think that things like SBRs, full auto firearms, or even suppressors would be common items in people’s collection? Instead of your dad or grandpa handing you his old 12 gauge pump shotgun or 30-30 lever action to shoot or take hunting, would he pull out an M16 with select fire to shoot up a coffee can in the back yard or hand you a bolt action with one of many suppressors that came with the gun when he purchased it from the pawn shop or local hardware store? Do you think there would be such a fascination with these items or do you think the no longer hard to get or unregulated nature of these items would make them commonplace and not as mysterious to the average shooter?

  • Joshua H – We recently had a shooter who shot down from a cliff down on interstate i75 ended up shooting 5 people and like 15 cars. He had 1000 to 2000 rounds and said he was going to kill alot of ppl. Well a reward was issued of 35000 dollars. What would your kit consist of if you had to search for someone like this in the thick ky woods. It super dense woods and alot of caves and sinkholes. I tried to go to the place he was found 2 days before they found him but I wasn’t allowed yet they let this other guy over there and of course they found him. No one was allowed to search with the law enforcement except the 2 that found him and got the money. Pissed me off bc I went right to that spot and was made to leave. He was only a few steps from where he did the shooting. Fbi ky state troopers, atf, forestry and Marshall service with dogs helicopters that can read your license plate from thousands of feet in the air and drones couldn’t find him. Do you think something fishy was going on? My buddy had to go get the body and said he was right in the open not covered by trees or anything. Freaking cops costed me 35,000.

  • David L – It’s the end of the world and you have been challenged to a thunderdome fight. Your choice of weapons are a full size metal baseball bat or a single bit wood cutting axe with a hickory handle. You get first pick… what are you choosing and why?

  • Royce L – @the_gat_lab, I am a recent follower and love all of the content you guys create. This is a two-parter.Could your newest fans get a quick rundown on how you guys met or got to know each other? Secondly, what are your thoughts on AK platform weapons, do you have any? what do you like about them? what do you not like about them?Stay clapped

  • DukeOfCrude – Hey fam,I keep hearing about this “unplugged” phone from Erik Prince of Blackwater. As much as I hate Apple and their data mining, I have a hard time not buying their products since all of my family and friends use Apple and imessging. What’s ya lls opinion of this kind of tech and do you think it ll have longevity or is this buying a phone that’s bound to fail? Thanks! Duke
