Lil’s Livefire Lounge with Lil Chantilly

The lovely Lil Chantilly talks about gear and issues for women in the gun world.

  • Ladies, why do we need to be armed? Because there are monsters walking the earth who are enabled to hurt, defile, and destroy us.  Make no mistake, predators are waiting for you.
  • USA Today article:  Father of student convicted of rape: Steep price for ’20 minutes of action
  • USA Today printed a statement presumably from Dan Turner.  He is the father of Brock Allen Turner, 20.  Brock was sentenced to six months in county jail, three years’ probation, and to register as a sex offender, was charged with assault with intent to commit rape of an intoxicated/unconscious person, penetration of an intoxicated person, and penetration of an unconscious person.
  • The letter from Dan Turner was posted to Twitter by Michele Dauber, a Stanford law professor. According to a press release from the school, she has been the university’s “most staunch and vocal advocate for sexual-assault reform for many years.”
  • As it stands now, Brock’s life has been deeply altered forever by the events of Jan 17th and 18th.  He will never be his happy go lucky self with that easy going personality and welcoming smile.  His every waking minute is consumed with worry, anxiety, fear, and depression.  You can see it in his face, the way he walks, his weakened voice; his lack of appetite, Brock always enjoyed certain types of food and is a very good cook himself.  I was always excited to buy him a big rib eye steak to grill or to get his favorite snack for him.  I had to make sure to hide some of my favorite pretzels or chips because I knew they wouldn’t be around long if Brock walked in from a long swim.  Now he barely consumes any food and eats only to exist.  These verdicts have broken and shattered our family in so many ways.  His life will never be the one that he dreamed about and worked so hard to achieve.  That is a steep price to pay for 20 minutes of action out of his 20 plus years life.  The fact that he now has to register as a sexual offender for the rest of his life forever alters where he can live, visit, work, and how he will be able to interact with people and organizations.  What I know as his father is that incarceration is not the appropriate punishment for Brock.  He has no prior criminal history and has never been violent to anyone, including his actions on the night of Jan 17th, 2015.   Brock can do so many positive things as a contributor to society and is totally committed to educating other college age students about the dangers of alcohol consumption and sexual promiscuity.  By having people like Brock educate others on college campuses is how society can begin to break the cycle of binge drinking and its unfortunate results.  Probation is the nest answer for Brock in this situation and allows him to give back to society in a net positive way.

Very respectfully,

Dan A. Turner

Hands down the best gun podcast.

by Wickedwrx on Jun 05, 2016
RATING: ★★★★★

I just started listening about a month ago and I have to say that this is truly the best firearms podcast on iTunes. The cast is great and the guests genuinely interest me. I love the humor and the passion the cast puts into every episode. Just like Aaron’s beadis I’m here to stay. Sorry about the feet man. Hi Dan.

Best diabetes awareness podcast ever

by OccupiedTerritoryShooter on Jun 01, 2016
RATING: ★★★★★

No one, and I mean NO ONE, cares about Aaron like these guys and gals do. I mean if he was on fire most people wouldn’t even urinate on him to put him out. But this merry band of misfits would waste no time in urinating on him. They would, in fact, jump at the opportunity. That being said, you will not find a better diabetes awareness and dolphin rape defense podcast anywhere. These folks are here to enrich your life. Thank you for all you do.

Universe’s Best Show

by BobBarkers69 on May 31, 2016
RATING: ★★★★★

This show is informative and fun. If it was a Saturday morning kid’s science show from the 90’s it would be Bill Nye the Science Guy. My favorite panelist is Nick. If he was an informative children’s entertainer from the 70’s he’d be Slim Goodbody, but hotter. That’s right. I just said Nick is hotter than Slim Goodbody. Aaron is pretty cool, too. If he was an aerobics VHS tape from the 80’s, he’d be Richard Simons’ Sweatin’ to the Oldies! This podcast is bitchin. Check it out!
