Going Ballistic

  • We stopped the reconciliation bill over HPA and Short. Lets get it right this time.
  • FRT lawsuit ceded by government but more fuckery afoot…by FRT?
  • Despite the article being a love letter to Trump, for once, a federal law might actually save lives
  • Anti-gun republican wants to be Florida governor
  • Fucking ramjet guided missle!
  • (no summary available)
  • Oklahoma’s new law permits individuals to brandish firearms to defend their property, reinforcing gun rights and potentially increasing tensions in the ongoing debate over property defense laws. This move is likely to be viewed positively within the gun community, while gun control advocates may see it as further encouragement of armed confrontation over disputes.
  • This video by Fudd Busters discusses the controversial settlement between the Department of Justice , Rare Breed Firearms, the National Association for Gun Rights , and several individuals regarding “force reset triggers” .

    Here’s a summary:

The DOJ settled the lawsuit, despite seemingly being on the verge of losing, potentially to avoid a binding precedent that would classify FRTs as machine guns (0:56-1:56, 14:27-14:46).
    Terms of the Settlement (2:25-5:01):
    Both sides dropped their lawsuits.
The government agreed to return seized FRTs (with caveats, like limited availability and evidence-related exclusions) (2:35-4:25).
Strange Wording and Potential Regulatory Capture (5:07-10:12):
Rare Breed agreed not to develop FRTs for handguns (5:11-5:58).
They also agreed to try and patent-troll to stop others from making FRTs (7:24-9:57).
    Benefits for the Government (14:27-15:17):
    Ends a losing lawsuit.
    Prevents a negative precedent.
Limits FRT development, especially for handguns.
    Questionable Motive and Enforcement (15:19-26:43):
Claimants’ motivation for the settlement is unclear (15:19-16:21).
The government cannot legally bind itself to interpret laws in a specific way (16:32-17:21).
Damage calculation for potential breach is complex.
Emphasis on the 223 patent’s validity is crucial (18:58-25:17).
    Prior Art Argument (20:37-25:17):
An older machine gun patent might invalidate the 223 patent through anticipation or obviousness.
Overall, the video argues that the settlement is a hollow victory for gun owners, potentially serving the DOJ’s interests in limiting FRT availability while simultaneously enriching Rare Breed. (25:39-26:43).

Reviews

  • ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐from Mark – Been listening for years and it’s true what Shawn says. Best damn gun podcast out there! Sure you may feel a little less intelligent after Aaron rambles on and on about some topic he’s stuck on with Jeremy but that feeling goes away after a few days. About 6 to be exact and then you’ll listen again and the feeling sets in again.

And just a reminder…Rost Martin is actually the second handgun manufacturer to sponsor the show. Unless we aren’t counting the 4 episodes that Nighthawk was here. Boy did them make a mistake.

  • ⭐⭐⭐from McPickle – Shawn is getting too gun fat on free gun shit. He’s the Veruca Salt of the gun world, a man that is spoiled, ungrateful and thankless. It sounds to me that the thrill of the gun world is gone from him. It’s time to ship your products for review directly to Nick or Aaron who would appreciate it. Shawn shits on new stuff just because “”he ain’t got time foe dat”” Case in point, Silencer co. created a short video explaining to people that silencers reduce the noise on a pistol however it’s still loud. Most gun owners have zero experience with silencers and know very little about them and their effectiveness. So Shawn shits on the video because he think’s everyone know it. Also the Taurus TX22 is a fantastic silencer host for .22 LR, It holds 15 rounds, has a side slide ejection port and the top of the slide is closed to prevent shit from blowing directly back into your face.

    Thank you. -McPickle.
  • ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐from Low-T Grandpa – Start this podcast at bedtime, set playback speed to 0.8x and let these guys boost your testosterone for the next several hours while you sleep. By the time you wake up to pee from your enlarged prostate, the podcast might be over. Reset it about half way and you’re good till its time to wake up at 5am.

Nick, Jeremy and Shawn seem cool dudes, except they give Grandpa Moses (Aaron) so much shit. And who’s the cartoon village people guy that recently joined your show?
