Although I feel like I am beating a dead horse, after watching this weekend Shawn was hanging out with the tacocm crew (at a gun show) it renewed my question and I wonder if Taccom’s delayed buffers system would be a good way and less expensive way to delay blowback in a blow back AR there fore reducing port pop and improving the performance of a suppressor in blowback ar’s (pistol calibers) I ask this because I am a lowly poor and MP5s are cost prohibitive and banshees are nonexistent. I know Jeremy is going to say … just stop being poor well I am working on it but until then what do you all think?

Looking for a scope suggestion for a 350 legend. It will be on the AR platform with a 20in faxon barrel. This will be used for deer hunting in lower Michigan. I mainly hunt corn fields where I could shoot 200-300 yards.. but prefer 100 and in.

Hello all I’m looking for an optic to put on an 18in AR-10 that I’m “assembling” to serve as a defensive rifle while hunting. It’s plenty accurate enough for hunting and will allow me to throw a lot of lead down range if needed. The longest shot I will likely take on an animal is realistically 5 to 600 yards however I would like to be over glassed because I also enjoy shooting steel at 1000 yards. The optic also needs to be able to transition quickly to close up targets in case I spook an animal nearby. I’ve considered a 2 to 10 vortex or similar scope with an offset Red Dot. I’m left-handed so it seems likely that I’m just going to be ejecting brass directly into my support hand if I’m using the offset Red Dot. Is that a problem for any lefties you know?? What do y’all think that set up versus just going with an lpvo and just walking around on 1 power and cranking up to higher power when taking long shots? The other option would be to optic Mount the Red Dot above 2 – 10 the vortex but that just seems a little clunky compared to just tilting the rifle. I see lots of larpers running around with lpvos and offset redots. Just seems like a lot of wasted money over a 2-10 or 3-9 because you’re just going to tilt the rifle if 1x is needed. Looking to spend $400-800 on a main optic and ~$400 on and offset redot. Not sure if a $800 to $1200 lpvo is a better option. Any thoughts and likely criticisms are appreciated.
