What is the purpose of a pin & welded barrel? I understand that it makes a sub 16″ barrel legal length, what I mean is why have a sub 16″ barrel just to weld onto it to make it legal. The purpose of an shorter barrel is to be more compact for use in things like CQB, I get that. But what is the purpose of having a shorter barrel if you just have to weld something on the end to make it not be an SBR, what benefit does it provide to make it worth it over just buying a 16″ barrel?

Would it help defend from a Hobo Monster can, that’s been hurled at a wussy that’s gonna cry or something??

Thanks for your time and keep up the great show.

Working on my first AR assembuild and I’m figuring out what parts I want. I haven’t settled on a caliber yet but assuming 556 I’m thinking about gas systems. With the goal of a light weight ultra low recoil (which I realize work against each other) what gas block and length system do you recommend? Cost is also a considerable consideration. Is adjustable really worth it?

Great show guys. Can’t wait until the power house companies realize you are the reviews people really want to hear. That or they already know and are just conspiring against you because you have the ability to really hurt them. Either way that shotgun scope mount Aaron mentioned briefly in episode 317 caught my attention. I have an 870 I hunt with using iron sights. After my eye surgery I can’t shoot with irons or red dots well. Thinking of those swampfox LPVO but my reciever is not tapped. I’m very interested in how good that mount is. Can you tell me more about it? Would it wreck the finish on the reciever? How well would it keep moisture and crap out from field use? #SSB #WLSislife

Hey guys! Quick question for ya:

What 6.5 Grendel barrel for under $250 would be the most accurate and durable in the price range? I have a Bear Creek Arsenal right now and it’s a little above 1.5 MOA and I’m hoping for something a little bit tighter grouped. I’m hoping for a 18” or 20” 6.5 Grendel AR 15 barrel. Stainless or black either way is fine.

I shoot Hornady Black Ammo and I don’t necessarily know what the best twist rate is. But open to you expertise and advice.

Thank you again.

Okay guys I collect various knives and my favorite EDC’s are Benchmade and ZT. I also keep my knives extremely sharp. What knives do you guys prefer and why? Also who’s knife won’t warm butter?

With all of the LPVO that are coming out what would be the benefit of going with a traditional comparable scope? Just heard of a 1×10 scope on guns and gear and they were trashing its use case. I disagree with them but thought maybe I was missing something. I can’t see why I would buy a comparable say 3×9 if that 1×10 is an option. I understand there are other features of a scope to consider but assuming those are equal. Wouldn’t having a greater range just open up your options?
