First Testing: JC Arms & Ammunition

by | Mar 1, 2016 | Guns, Reviews

Had the chance to visit the range to re-zero my DEZ Tactical Arms, Inc. .308 after getting it painted. While I was there, I had time to run some comparisons on ammunition. JC Arms & Ammunition kicked the crap out of the other ammunition tested and came in lower per round than the other high dollar rounds.

My goal is to go to 1,000 yards with this rifle with off the shelf ammunition. After this test, I will be using the 150gr 308 from JC Arms and Ammunition.

Rifle: DEZ Tactical Arms .308. 22″ barrel, 1/10

  • Hornady Superformance 165 SST
  • Winchester Ballistic Silvertip 168 Polymer tip
  • m80 ball ammo 147 surplus
  • JC Arms & Ammuntion 165 Ballistic Tip
  • JC Arms & Ammuntion 150 HPBT

The results are listed below and speak for themselves.

Now that I’ve identified that the rifle likes the 150 gr. pills we will do further testing comparing those projectile weights.
