Hey fellas, I’m going to be finishing up my AS from SDI soon, and I am curious if you guys have any ideas for some cool jobs/companies to look into for gainful employment? I don’t think I really want to start a gunsmithing shop in my apartment as I live in CA but I could use a good reason to move out of this state. Thanks, I love the show

Before I get to my question, it’s time for Aaron to STFU about the 6mm GT. It’s a PRS cartridge. It’s not really to take the place of your 6.5 raccoon murdering Creedmoor. Although, something probably should. It’s designed to bridge the gap between the inefficient (>30% more powder <10% more velocity) cartridges like 6mm Creedmoor, XC, and Lapua and the shitty feeding of the Benchrest variants that are so short, it’s like loading light 30/30 projectiles in a 300bo. Many in the world of PRS also believe Varget to be the greatest powder ever but it doesn’t work the best in the larger cases. Not sure what the actual results have been, but that’s the intent anyway. We’ll always be looking for that next best thing and every so often… We find something more suited to kill a raccoon. So if you were to design a cartridge for Aaron, what would it be?

Looking to do a government size 1911 build in .45 acp. Whats your suggestions as far as companies to purchase the frame from? I’m having a hard time finding a 100% frame that doesn’t have a rail on it. Kind of looking to do an “OG” build. Keeping it simple. Any other advice on the build would be appreciated as well. Thanks.

I’ve been around and used firearms since I was a kid, I’m in my 30s now. I’ve never had any formal training other than what I learned from my Dad when I was young. I’d like to get some actual defensive/tactical training and was wondering if you have any recommendations in the north Alabama area. Thanks in advance!

My understanding is that 9mm, 380, 38spc, and 357 are “all 9mm”. I understand that some are rimmed and others aren’t, etc. But in a magical “do all” gun, you could in theory fit all of the bullets down the barrel. Right? My question is: how do “they” decide the names? Why is 380 not just called a 9×16 rather than a 9×19? 38spc came before 357, so why isn’t 357mag just called 38mag? Where does the 357 come from if the bullet is point three eight inches in diameter?
