This question is for Aaron…as a fellow Yooper Country college grad, albeit the better school of MTU – Class of ’97, we had the opportunity to store our firearms on-campus in the dorms within a storage room lockup attended by the R.A. on the bottom floor. (Did that for all of two weeks until I could never find the damn R.A. at 5 am when I needed my rifle to go hunting) This I’m pretty sure was quite rare back then and was removed from the policy after the the Virginia Tech Campus shooting in 2007. Did NMU have any similar policies in place for firearms storage on-campus? And curiously (not bi-curiously), does anyone know of any college or university that allows firearms on-campus anymore or are they mostly all gun-free zones now?

Great show everybody. Enjoy it immensely, Thanks, Guys!

Have you ever seen a DX7 AK?

I came across a video of one and it seems like a really cool idea for a modular AK system. But the video I saw was 2 years old and I can’t find any new/recent info on them.

What are your thoughts?

I’m looking to add a new 45 to my collection and have narrowed it down to the CZ97 and the HK usp 45 expert. What would you choose out of those two? Yes Jeremy I know you choose the FNX 45 tactical. I’d get one of those but I’m stuck in Commiefornia until my youngest graduates in a few years.

Referring to my question in episode 200, thank you for the entertaining and informative answer. While I was asking it the way everyone but Aaron read it, I will say Aaron did have a good point of going with a longer barrel and lower capacity. The problem is finding reduced capacity mags. And since neither caliber was good enough, thank you for taking the question further and trying to think of a good caliber. In regards to the listener that said magazine capacity was unrestricted please reference Sec. 11-0931. Prohibitions on the use and possession of firearms…any auto-loading firearm of a construction to contain more than six shells in the magazine and chamber combined, except

(1) such a firearm using twenty-two caliber rim-fire ammunition, or

(2) such a firearm which has been altered so as to reduce its capacity to not more than six shells at one time in the magazine and chamber combined, or

(3) an auto-loading pistol having a barrel less than eight inches in length.

 Hey Guys:

I love the show and thanks for the discount codes you offer for your sponsors. I have already purchased several products from Swamp Fox Optics and they have all been outstanding. In fact, once I settle on a rifle I will be using a Swamp Fox Warhawk scope. So my question to the experts is – I am considering the following rifles all in 6.5 Creedmoor.

  1. Christensen Arms Modern Precision Rifle
  2. Tikka T3x TACT A1
  3. Ruger Precision Rifle
  4. Savage 110 Precision Elite
  5. Savage 10 GRS

What would be the best choice. Are there any other suggestions? Thanks guys, and I look forward to upcoming great shows.

So thanks to all the idiots in Oregon. SB 554 passed and now it just needs to be signed and we loose more of are freedom. However In the bill it explains you can store you’r firearms in a gun room, but I cannot find what they’re definition of a gun room. I know you are not lawyers and I am in contact with my lawyer however he is having the same problem I am. So I just wanted to see if you guys could point me in the right direction thanks.

Decided I’m going guy a 22 lr. suppressor, most likely from Bowers Group. Thinking about sound suppression and serviceability. Which is best? The bitty, USS22, or paradigm 22? And why? Use case is AR platform 22’s, 10/22’s, TX22’s, and Mark series pistols. Given this will purely be a range toy, I’m not overly worried about length (selling factor for the bitty).
