Dear WLS,

I have a question that no one has been able to answer for me. At what point do we move on to forgive (maybe forget) the bad things that gun companies have done? Obviously I’m talking about Springfield and Rock River. It seems like every time I turn around someone is always talking about what they did in Illinois. Whether or not those companies knew what was going on is still up for debate.

The issue I want to cover is the same people who demonize SA and RRA own guns or products from companies that have turned and done something just as shady.

#1 Smith and Wesson

While I know that S&W was owned by a British company at the time, the name is still tainted with the memory of supporting the ideas of gun control by the Clinton’s

https://www.nraila.org/articles/20000320/the-smith-wesson-sellout

#2 Ruger

Yet again while Bill Ruger is dead, he was firm in the belief that civilians shouldn’t own an AR or 30 round mags, yet the AR556 is one of the highest selling rifles. Seems odd people would buy ARs from a company run by a man who wasn’t in total support of gun ownership

#3 Daniel Defense

The CEO of DD was in support of the FixNICS bill which was a universal background check bill and believed it was the only route. Then he proceeded to back peddle and say he is nothing but a 2A supporter. Why give up an inch if you know the government will take a mile?

#4 X Products

CEO thinks that gun rights are a privilege and should be regulated. WTF? Also said he wanted a licensing system

#5 Eotech/Surefire

EoTech donates money to Feinstein and other anti gun politicians

At what point do we forgive these companies? If you are the kind of person that shits on SA and RRA, but buy any of these other products you are the worst kind of hypocrite. Some might say it was just the CEO and not the company. To that I will say as a CEO you are a direct representation of your company.

Sorry for the length of this but just want to know where you all stand on this and your opinions

Keep up the good work #WeLikeShootingIsLife

Hey

I’m looking to build a 11.5” AR pistol and am trying to decide on a barrel. It is between the Faxon 11.5” mid length or the Roscoe 11.5” carbine length. Is there an advantage to the mid length in a barrel that short?

Also, between Roscoe and Faxon who would you choose?

Thanks!

Minuteman Prepper

We have all of these keyboard commandos yelling for the Big Igloo, but they won’t even get off of the couch to fight unconstitutional gun laws. Do we really expect these guys to fight a tyrannical government if they aren’t willing to protect the 2nd amendment right now? Also what can we do to rally and motivate the community to push back against the infringement of our rights?
