So what is the most tactical thanksgiving food?

(Please do not mention my name if read in show, for obvious reasons) This may be a bit long, so I apologize. A year and a few months ago, I was at my lowest point in life, I was an alcoholic at the age of 23 and was drinking 6 nights a week (about a pint or more of bourbon each night) I was also a predominant concealed carrier and an avid shooter. One night I was attending a comedy show at our local redneck pub here in the Appalachias and I found myself over served after a few hours and somehow got into an argument with a friends acquaintance, which almost turned very violent. After about an hour of heated confrontation I was emotional and very drunk when I was asked to leave the premises, upon walking away from the bar I was apparently approached by a “peer” from my junior and high school days, this guy had been known to be aggressive in social situations and was treating me in a very dangerous way (making threats on my life) and I ended up pulling out my glock 19…brandishing it, which is a crime without just cause, which I’m aware of. The thing is, I don’t even remember doing it (my friend I was with told me) I was that intoxicated. The guy who was threatening me allegedly “backed off” upon seeing this and I haven’t seen him since, no police reports were filed on me or anyone involved in the situation, although I feel as though there should have been, I realize I was completely in the wrong in that situation as far as I know. I feel extreme guilt, mostly because I’ve been the person to introduce the majority of my friends to shooting and I’ve always touted safety of first and foremost importance. I’m very grateful that I was not arrested that night, and immensely more grateful that nothing even worse happened. I have contacted fhe man I brandished my weapon at on social media since I have no way of contacting him in person seeing that I have no idea who he associates with or where he lives. I also haven’t had a drop of alcohol since that very night, that traumatic event finally showed me how detrimental booze was to my life and how it can potentially affect me. I don’t know if my life was in danger, because I simply can’t remember and that scares the shit out of me. My question is; can I still be a responsible member of the firearms community? I doubt myself every day since then, but since getting and staying sober I have attained clarity like never before. I know you haven’t had a question like this before and I’m just seeking some kind of closure on the matter. Thank you.

Peter Am I being detained?

Is the answer to this question ‘no’?

I’ve recently moved out of CA to the free state of IN and have just received my CCW in the mail. I’ve been shooting for many years but am very new to the world of firearm carry. My question for all of you is, what style of carry (appendix vs 4 o’clock) do you prefer and why? Also, what’s your favorite carry belt?

Cory C

Hey guys!

I’m a decent shooter. Been shooting since I was a kid. For the last 5-6 years it’s been mainly 600-1200y precision with larger calibers. Recently I have been getting more and more interested in increasing my skill set with close range carbine type work. What classes would you be focusing on in my case? Also any suggestions in the Houston area?

Thanks!
