Dear WLS
- Dan R – WLS episode 575, you talked about parents being charged for the actions of their kids. What if your 16 year old narrowed your car and drove into a crowd. Should you as the parents and the owner of the vehicle be charged also? At what point do we say no to charging third parties? Love the show. Dan
- Sean O – Who took the photos for the Advocate on Gideon’s website? Were they looking to get internet famous? Gotta watch out for reflections.
- Cole N. Oscopy – There are months dedicated to this demographic, that demographic…. How about a first responders’ month? Sincerely, Cole N. Oscopy #ababyatemydingo
- Reese K – On your Double Tap 374 you got into a discussion on hammer vs striker. That turned into to trying to come up with modern hammer fired guns and everything went back to CZ from the 70s. Why no mention of Beretta? I picked up a 92Xi and beyond the downfalls of it being a Beretta (should have more capacity for its size and heft, the open slide, and locking block, price) it has the rail, threaded barrel, safety where it should be, optics cut (no plates supplied), and the single action only is pretty good. Other than my 2 cents, keep up the good work. I took Nick’s advice for my question a while back on restricted state home defense where he suggested a shotgun, and picked up a Judge Home Defender. And before Jeremy loses his shit, I did not buy a judge, but am looking into a Ruger PC Carbine as he suggested.
- Nathan S – *5k 2011 FOLLOW-UP*I went with a Staccato XC and a 2.5 MOA SRO. As a Buckeye state resident, i was excited to hear Jeremy’s opinion. Even thought about taking a trip to his range/store to show him whatever gun I went with, and spend some money to support someone I’ve grown to look up to while listening to this podcast over the years. Alas, they say sometimes it’s better to not meet your heros. His shit opinion on 2011/DS1911’s has me second guessing that trip. In all honesty, Nick might be my favorite now. I don’t know if I can trust Jeremy’s opinions anymore. I’m not sure Savage is even real. Sean is cool. But if shit hits the fan, he’s too fat to survive on team apocalypse, and I don’t want to open myself up to that kind of tragedy. Aaron’s from Michigan. I needn’t say more. Anyway, thanks for your time and opinion’s. Except for Aaron. You still suck.
- Hawk 2A – What does the cast think about an optic with a 45-70 BDC reticle? LPVO, prism, or RDS with a magnifier? How would the different optic designs hold up to the recoil of the mighty 45-70 Govt, the only government I trust. Thanks!
- Richard Cranium – I know most of you have a Mat9 upper, does it work with any AR15 trigger or do you need something with a heavier spring or a standard mil spec trigger? I am curious (not bi-curious) if it will work with a 2 stage trigger. Thank you.
- Phil M – What is your suggestion that we do to prevent mass shootings in this country from happening.

Gun Industry News
- Mantis is releasing a new Blackbeard laser dry-fire training system for AK-47s. It works with most AK-47/74 rifles and has a 60,000-round shot capacity, similar to the AR-15 version. It includes a laser-bolt assembly and a battery magazine with Bluetooth to connect to the MantisX Training app. The product is coming soon but is not available yet.
- Angstadt Arms has introduced a new suppressor called the Prophet at TriggrCon 2024. It’s special because it’s HUB-compatible and can work with almost any common caliber in the AR platform. This product expands their line of integrally suppressed options, which previously included the Vanquish for the 10/22. The Prophet includes a ported full-length barrel. Availability is currently unknown.
- KCI is launching a new 100-round drum magazine for 5.56 AKs, along with a shorter 20-round magazine. This drum is ideal for those who like shooting a lot at once. Both magazines will be available to order by early 2025.
