Savage (manual, reviewed): Anyways, this episode of We Like Shooting is brought to you by Foxtrot Mike, C&G Holsters, Blue Alpha, Night Fission, Stuff and Things, Inc. Bowers Group and Second Call Defense.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): John, Aaron and Jeremy, too. Savage and Nick, bringing it to you. Talking guns and having fun. We like shooting. We're out of control.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): Welcome
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): to We Like Shooting, episode 684. We got the Quattro Amigo Savage 1R doing the news. Nick Lynch keeping it real. You can check out him at Bus Build Systems. Jeremy Pazderick, you can go check out his gun range and buy guns and shoot machine guns at Rivers Edge Tactical. River such tactical in Valley City, Ohio. My name is Shawn Herrin. I'll be here fucking up the intro for you all night, probably. And man, I'm excited to be here. It's Columbus Day.
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): Nobody is illegal on stolen land. Is that?
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): That shit is awesome. It
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): makes me happy.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): It's
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): not stolen land. It's conquered land. You fucking morons.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): I
Jeremy (reference, not reviewed): didn't give a shit if it's stolen. Take it back, motherfucker.
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): exactly. Like, do you? Goddamn. Like, of all the
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): things to be a cuck turns out,
Jeremy (reference, not reviewed): might does make right.
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): As it turns out, yes, it does. Very, very interesting. So, Savage, how did you celebrate Columbus Day?
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): I
Savage (manual, reviewed): worked.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): Yeah. I
Savage (manual, reviewed): mean.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): Wait,
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): I thought it was a holiday.
Savage (manual, reviewed): No, I worked.
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): Yes. Jeremy, how did you celebrate Columbus Day?
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): I
Jeremy (reference, not reviewed): went to work. Like a good white man and put in the hours and, you know.
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): I think Nick went to work as well. I worked all day. I've been here for about 12 hours so far. Pretty, yeah, like, I don't know.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): Should
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): we get rid of Columbus Day and celebrate something else?
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): What
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): do you guys
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): think? I
Savage (manual, reviewed): don't know. What else happened on Columbus Day?
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): I
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): don't know. We could celebrate
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): George
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): Floyd Day or something.
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): No.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): What
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): is Columbus Day actually for? What's the celebration there?
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): I
Jeremy (reference, not reviewed): think it's the discovery of America. It's just a day to celebrate when Europeans found the continent.
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): Yeah. I mean, it's pretty dope, actually.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): Because
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): if they hadn't have located it for us, we could have never colonized it.
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): Anyway, happy Columbus Day, everyone.
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): We're glad to be here with you. We're glad you're here with us. And let's go ahead and get into the damn show then.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): Yeah,
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): sound off in the chat. If you had today off and if you didn't have today off, I want to take a brief poll. I wish that Rumble had
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): a
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): way that you could do polls. Well, it doesn't matter. Loud and free studio will
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): because
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): I built that
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): the
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): other day.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): Where
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): we can do polls and have live voting and it shows on screen. It'll be
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): awesome. That
Jeremy (reference, not reviewed): project is a
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): big
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): project.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): I'm
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): getting close.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): Getting
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): close. I think I'm done adding new features and now I'm just dabbling in the features that it has. But
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): we're
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): going to do it. I'm looking here. Junior, I worked and it was my day off. Captain Doogie says, worked today but I'm off the rest of the week. Ooh, that's nice.
Savage (manual, reviewed): Zester says, guys get days off.
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): Super Gorilla Glue had to work like a chimp. Okay. He corrected it later to chump, but I like what he said first. Tin Man said, Conquering Nations Day. That's awesome. Like, I would celebrate the shit out of that. WLS Ancient One said, worked to maintain civilization on this continent.
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): Ten minutes and millions of people are demanding on you to work. They need that EBT. God damn. WLS Angel One vacation starts Wednesday.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): It's
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): all pretty exciting. Also very exciting. I'm going to put the push right now for Ranch Rifles from Foxtrot Mike. They are just some of the most fun things ever. And I took a class. I'll talk about it here in just a little while. We were talking about, you know, odd things that you may run in that class. And there was a couple of interesting ones, like Tavor was at the class. And actually, he did really well with it. That was good. That was our buddy Country Boy Guns.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): But
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): then I was like, ooh,
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): I
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): think next time I take this class, I may take it with like a ranch rifle and just try to get much better with that platform. Because I really love my Ranch Rifle. I think they're amazing. I've got several different ones. So I could definitely take a carbine class with that. Really get my reloads dialed in. Really just work with that different platform. They're a ton of fun. They look really cool. I think you really like them. Go check them out over at fm-products.com. Click on Ranch Rifle on the front. It'll take you to see all the different stuff that they
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): have. All the different stocks that you can put on it. I really love the just standard Magpul furniture on mine. But the Wooks stuff, if you really want to dial it up, I think that's the way to go.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): But
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): yeah, they've got the .223 Wilde in stock right now.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): I'm
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): looking. .223, .223. Ten Man in the chat said, I'm ready for another Ranch Rifle. What's the next caliber? Ooh, good point.
Nick (reference, not reviewed): Six Arc.
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): Oh, yeah. Nick's back. They
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): need
Nick (reference, not reviewed): a
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): Six Arc.
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): They do need a Six Arc. I think we got him convinced. We just need to remind him.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): Um,
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): so anyway, go check them out. Uh, buy a ranch rifle, fm-products.com coupon code WLS is life is going to save you money on that, which is awesome.
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): We got a lot fucking going on tonight. So we're going to get right into it and talk about gear chats where we talk about stuff that we have want and need and, uh, you know, try to get you into it. See, see if you like it and see if you don't, it doesn't matter. We're just going to talk about it. Um, I have a lot to talk about, but Nick, why don't you start us off?
Nick (reference, not reviewed): Okay. And I think I put a lot in here, but I'm fine with,
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): you
Nick (reference, not reviewed): know, not covering it all.
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): Yeah. Just cover what you want. We'll recycle the rest.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): Okay.
Nick (reference, not reviewed): I'll talk about this first because I've been really excited about it and talked about it previously.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): It's
Nick (reference, not reviewed): really dark in here.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): Yeah. What
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): happened to your face light?
Nick (reference, not reviewed): It is. I moved some things and it's. Not in an optimal position.
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): Yeah. Not even pointed at you, it seems.
Nick (reference, not reviewed): Quite suboptimal.
Nick (reference, not reviewed): It's actually pointed right at me. You wouldn't believe it. It's not turned on.
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): Okay. That makes a lot more sense, actually.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): That
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): makes way more sense. I was like, are you facing it like towards the floor? He's reaching forward. He's struggling. He's turning red.
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): Yep. Now he's looking up. Seen that look before.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): And
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): now he's muted.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): And
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): now
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): he's
Nick (reference, not reviewed): back. found it.
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): Yay. Oh, yeah. It looks
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): better instantly. All right. Now
Nick (reference, not reviewed): let's try.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): Oh, yeah. There. This
Nick (reference, not reviewed): is, and just, yeah, this is the PPK. It won't focus.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): But,
Nick (reference, not reviewed): yeah, I got the slide back.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): It
Nick (reference, not reviewed): showed up on, what, Saturday?
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): And
Nick (reference, not reviewed): then I... Went to the range on Sunday and shot a few things. And yeah, so I've talked about this before. This is the slide that I got off of eBay for $60 or something. It's a little rusty. It's got some salt on it, which you can't really see because the camera won't focus.
Nick (reference, not reviewed): But
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): it
Nick (reference, not reviewed): is functional. It's actually a PPKS slide
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): on
Nick (reference, not reviewed): my PPK frame. Damn.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): But
Nick (reference, not reviewed): yeah, I sent it off to Fabricated Arms.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): They're
Nick (reference, not reviewed): the only people I could find that
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): were
Nick (reference, not reviewed): willing to do something this dumb.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): No
Nick (reference, not reviewed): shit. I think the guy actually posted about it on Instagram or something and I saw it a while back. Anyway, so I sent it off. Gideon
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): was
Nick (reference, not reviewed): willing to send me a red dot for this. So Bob hooked me up after I talked about this.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): This
Nick (reference, not reviewed): is the...
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): Damn
Nick (reference, not reviewed): it. What's the name of this one?
Shawn (manual, reviewed): Valor Mini. The
Nick (reference, not reviewed): Valor Mini. Thank you.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): The
Nick (reference, not reviewed): problem is that they have come out. Dude. Gideon has come out with so much stuff so fast that I cannot
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): keep
Nick (reference, not reviewed): it straight.
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): I'm going to be honest. Like there's been several times that I'm like,
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): fuck
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): is this optic?
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): And
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): I'll like have to like this one.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): I
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): literally
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): have to
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): go to the website and like match it and be like,
Nick (reference, not reviewed): oh yeah, it's got that.
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): Oh yeah, that one's got. No, but it doesn't have that. All right, go to the next page. Yep. Oh, yep. It's this one. Okay, I got it. Yeah, their release schedule is
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): fucking
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): crazy.
Nick (reference, not reviewed): Yeah, it is. But yeah, I sent this thing off.
Nick (reference, not reviewed): Let's see. I think he's charged me. It was about a hundred bucks.
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): Dude,
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): that's awesome.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): It
Nick (reference, not reviewed): was $110. So $110, which I think is pretty reasonable for this kind of work. He offers Cerakote and stuff. I didn't do that just because it's a stainless
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): gun,
Nick (reference, not reviewed): and I didn't really feel like I needed that.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): Yeah,
Nick (reference, not reviewed): couldn't be happier. The fit's great. He was able to get it low enough that the notch at the back of the red dot
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): is
Nick (reference, not reviewed): actually where the rear sight would have been.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): And
Nick (reference, not reviewed): it lines up with the front sight pretty well. Like the height is good. And so
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): the
Nick (reference, not reviewed): front sight is still usable. I still have a back sight or rear sight.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): Yeah,
Nick (reference, not reviewed): absolutely ridiculous. Totally like fucks up the lines of the gun and everything as far as aesthetics go. But I think it's super cool.
Nick (reference, not reviewed): I think it looks even cooler.
Nick (reference, not reviewed): Yeah. Well, it looks kind of cool in the same way that those messed up like. World War I era 1911s with like a flashlight and a red dot and stuff cobbled onto them.
Nick (reference, not reviewed): Yeah. Pretty
Nick (reference, not reviewed): cool.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): I
Nick (reference, not reviewed): went and shot a couple boxes through this yesterday. So not like a whole lot. But it was pretty dang close to dead on out of the box.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): So
Nick (reference, not reviewed): I don't know if he boresighted it or anything. I mean, I guess it's just a slide, so it'd be kind of hard to boresight.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): Could
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): laser
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): both side it
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): real quick.
Nick (reference, not reviewed): Yeah. I guess you could look down the firing pin channel.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): I
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): guess.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): But
Nick (reference, not reviewed): yeah, it was pretty good. The PPK has a terrible double action trigger. Like it's very, very heavy and very abrupt. So it's kind of hard to stage. Like with a lot of other double actions, you can like find that wall and hold it there. And the PPK, you can find the wall and hold it there. But it's like it takes a lot of effort because it's a very heavy trigger.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): And
Nick (reference, not reviewed): then if you move just a little bit too far, it'll go off because it's kind of a weird feeling double action. But the single action is very, very nice. So it's actually pretty fun to shoot with the red dot and the single action trigger. Like it's
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): actually
Nick (reference, not reviewed): a fairly accurate little pistol. Of course, it's a... It's 380 PPK, so it's a little bit
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): jumpy. Kind
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): of heavy enough, though, that it probably shouldn't be too bad, right?
Nick (reference, not reviewed): Yeah, I don't think it's that bad. It's got a decent snap to it, but it's not unpleasant. I would much rather shoot this than my J-frame. The J-frame is uncomfortable,
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): and
Nick (reference, not reviewed): this is just kind of like,
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): oh yeah, it jumps a little bit.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): Yeah,
Nick (reference, not reviewed): it is a very heavy gun. You could probably carry two good... Modern polymer framed 380s that
Nick (reference, not reviewed): have
Nick (reference, not reviewed): more capacity for the weight of this one. But
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): this
Nick (reference, not reviewed): is a PPK and it's just fucking awesome.
Nick (reference, not reviewed): I
Nick (reference, not reviewed): do it anyway.
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): I'm so jelly, dude. I love it.
Nick (reference, not reviewed): Yeah, this thing is awesome. Having the red dot set up on here is very cool. If you want to do something dumb like this, you can do it pretty cheaply because I paid a hundred bucks or about. I got a A second slide off of eBay. So I still have the original factory slide with the irons.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): Because
Nick (reference, not reviewed): I was like, I'm not sure if this is actually going to suck or not.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): And
Nick (reference, not reviewed): so I didn't want to be stuck. I wanted to be able to go back. So yeah, I can always convert back if I want to. Or if at some point I want to sell it. I don't know. I guess I can do that.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): You
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): can probably sell it for more with the... The slide cut.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): I
Nick (reference, not reviewed): would. I mean, I hope so because it's awesome.
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): Yeah, it is awesome.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): But
Nick (reference, not reviewed): yeah, I'm pretty stoked about it. The Valor Mini is small enough that I don't notice any difference with it carrying. But it is enclosed, which is great. So you don't get like went and crap in there. It's still got a decent sized window.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): I'm
Nick (reference, not reviewed): pretty thrilled with how. This whole thing came out like I didn't expect to be able to use the
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): rear
Nick (reference, not reviewed): sight that's built into the red dot. So that's a very nice bonus. Yeah.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): Hell
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): yeah.
Nick (reference, not reviewed): Now I'm just desperately, desperately trying to find somebody to thread the barrel.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): But
Nick (reference, not reviewed): you need a new
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): longer barrel,
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): right?
Nick (reference, not reviewed): No. A lot of times what happens with these is they put an adapter on it.
Nick (manual, reviewed): I can see on a
Nick (reference, not reviewed): 22. I see. That extends it out and then gives you half 28 threads.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): I
Nick (reference, not reviewed): did find somebody who is willing to, the Walther PP is the longer version of this. I
Nick (reference, not reviewed): found
Nick (reference, not reviewed): someone who's willing to thread one of those barrels. But then I'd have to install it myself.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): And
Nick (reference, not reviewed): I think I can do that. I think I have the tools for that. But
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): I
Nick (reference, not reviewed): have never done that before and there isn't a whole lot of information.
Nick (reference, not reviewed): So I don't know. I might try it.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): Anyway, yeah,
Nick (reference, not reviewed): I really want to get a can on this.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): I
Nick (reference, not reviewed): messed with the Stealth Additive Works Shiv
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): a
Nick (reference, not reviewed): couple weeks ago
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): and
Nick (reference, not reviewed): was really, really blown away by it. And
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): now
Nick (reference, not reviewed): I really want one on this to carry with
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): because
Nick (reference, not reviewed): carrying a suppressed PPK with a red dot would be
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): just
Nick (reference, not reviewed): absolutely badass.
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): It would be. I want one so bad. Which exactly, I want a threaded barrel for my bodyguard too, but they don't make them.
Jeremy (reference, not reviewed): Yeah.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): Like,
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): yeah. I don't know what the fuck it is that I just want a tiny ass little suppressed gun that I can carry, but I'm going
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): to.
Nick (reference, not reviewed): I am really seriously looking at the Berettas. If I can't find somebody to thread this, then I might pick up one of the 30Xs. Fairly inexpensive, and
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): they
Nick (reference, not reviewed): come threaded.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): And
Nick (reference, not reviewed): there were some threaded PPKs made, but they're more expensive than they should be,
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): in
Nick (reference, not reviewed): my opinion. And they're out of production now, so prices have gone up even more.
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): So freaking cool. All right, so
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): they
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): do a lot of
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): other... They do a
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): lot of other slide cuts. I wonder if they would do my CZTS2.
Nick (reference, not reviewed): You'd have to email him and ask him. I think I'm going to send him my 229 slide.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): Because,
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): dude, the
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): price is right.
Nick (reference, not reviewed): I've back and forth on that. Yeah.
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): And clearly he does
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): good work. pretty
Nick (reference, not reviewed): reasonable.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): Yeah,
Nick (reference, not reviewed): I'm happy with this. I think that from
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): when
Nick (reference, not reviewed): I put it in the mail to when I got it back, I think it was like five weeks. And, you know, if you figure like a week or two to get there. Sorry, like a week to get there and a week to get back.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): It
Nick (reference, not reviewed): was, you know, three-ish week turnaround time, which I think is pretty reasonable.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): Yeah,
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): I'm fine with it.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): Because
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): this is one of those weird things where, like, he kind of has to figure it out per gun.
Nick (reference, not reviewed): Yeah. Yeah, once you have the program for the actual, like, cut,
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): you
Nick (reference, not reviewed): then have to figure out the height on the specific
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): firearm.
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): CZTS2.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): I'm
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): sending a note right now.
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): Because
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): I
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): would definitely... Love to get a red dot on that gun. And I know it's blasphemy or whatever. I don't fucking care.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): I
Nick (reference, not reviewed): don't. I think that's blasphemy.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): I
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): love that gun. It's not like I'm going to shoot in competition. So let's put a red dot on it. Everything needs a red dot. IMO.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): Well,
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): that's exciting, Nick. I'm stoked. It looks exactly as cool as I was hoping it would. And now you just need to figure out that barrel.
Nick (reference, not reviewed): Yeah. Yeah, I do.
Nick (reference, not reviewed): It's pretty ridiculous.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): Yeah,
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): it really is. It's going to be awesome. All right, I'll talk about one. I took, I know that it's crazy, but I took another course over the weekend. So I did the Nightfire Basics a few weeks ago, talked about that. And then this weekend, it's like now that I found a good training company locally, I'm like really trying to load up because, oh my God, my skills have fallen so much. It's like really disappointing. And it's like
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): a blow to the ego to not be what I used to be. And it's like really frustrating. So I went and took a Defensive Rifle 1 course from Highlands Defense. That is the same training company that I took the Nightfire Basics from.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): And
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): I got to take it with a couple good friends. Will from Country Boy Guns and AK-47 Podcast. And Mike from the Let's Go Hunt Podcast and AK-47 Podcast. And yeah, we went, we showed up, and we took the Defensive Rifle course. This is a level one basics course, but he pushed us and analyzed our skill and basically set the level of the course to
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): what he thought that we needed and what he thought we would take the most value from. So it was like we got some of the defensive rifle basic stuff, but also some of the other stuff. He did a really good job, honestly, of setting the level of the course to the students and what... You know, what level we were at, which is so hard to do. don't know if you guys are familiar with instruction in any way, but it's like really difficult sometimes to make those changes on the fly. But I thought that he, him and his instructor
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): assistants did just a fantastic job of doing exactly that. I got so freaking much out of it. Again, it demonstrated some equipment failures that I was not necessarily happy with
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): for
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): some reason. I took two rifles. I took one and then I took a backup to that one. I'll talk about this in a minute, but the backup ended up being the rifle that I shot for most of the day. And it's my Mitchell Defense. It has an LPVO on it. And my fucking height overboard is like
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): six
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): to eight inches. I know I zeroed it at a hundred. I looked it up when I got home, but like it is egregious. And we were shooting at more contact distances, things like that.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): I
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): was ill-prepared and surprised by that, and it was very tough to adapt. I think I finally kind of got it dialed in by like the last exercises of the day, but like it'll fuck you up, man. You know, when you're used to shooting at center of exposed mass, but like center of exposed mass where I was shooting and I'm like basically shooting homeboy in the dick at closer distances, it really makes you think and like,
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): okay,
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): I need to really adjust this, but
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): I'm
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): going to replace the optic that's on there. I'm going to put a Gideon Guardian on there. And then I'll shoot those kind of distances again, see where I'm at, and then just practice, practice, practice. But I was really happy with the class. It was absolutely wonderful. I got so freaking much out of it. And I'm just so happy to be on the range training again with a great instructor, running an excellent organization, and just like... Man, I could not be more happy. If anyone is in Colorado and they want to shoot a defensive pistol
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): class with me next weekend, I'm going to take that one on Sunday next week. Let me know. Just message on Instagram or automated at welikeshooting.com. I'll give you all the information. But this is Highlands Defense. It is a defensive pistol one course.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): And
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): I'm just really looking forward to it because getting back to training is very rewarding overall. I got to say, it is a kick to the fucking nuts. To have lost so much skill, but I'm
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): bound
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): and determined to get it back and
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): get
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): back to where I was.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): I
Nick (reference, not reviewed): want to go.
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): Okay, come on. Let's do it.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): Okay.
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): You get here. I'll pay for your class.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): I'll
Nick (reference, not reviewed): be there.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): Okay. It's
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): next Sunday, 9.30 a.m.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): Okay.
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): Tight.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): I
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): don't believe you.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): Hold
Nick (reference, not reviewed): on. I'm looking up flights.
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): Okay. Perfect.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): I
Nick (reference, not reviewed): hope that this turns out to be a...
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): Jeremy, Labor Day or whatever.
Nick (reference, not reviewed): Fourth of July. Yeah, that. Oh, look at that. Tickets are like 80 bucks.
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): No shit. I remember
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): that. That was
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): so great.
Nick (reference, not reviewed): 500 bucks.
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): Oh, yeah.
Nick (reference, not reviewed): I don't think that's going to happen.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): That's
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): so much more
Nick (reference, not reviewed): expensive.
Nick (reference, not reviewed): It can't be that far of a drive.
Nick (reference, not reviewed): 16 hours.
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): So far.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): It's
Jeremy (reference, not reviewed): closer to me and I've driven there.
Nick (reference, not reviewed): Not to shoot a class for one day over a weekend.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): I
Jeremy (reference, not reviewed): didn't stay that long.
Nick (reference, not reviewed): Yeah. Yeah, I'm not going to drive down there, shoot a class, and then turn around and drive back.
Savage (manual, reviewed): Where
Savage (manual, reviewed): the
Savage (manual, reviewed): hell are you flying out of it? It's five
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): hours.
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): Jeremy, come shoot the class with me.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): Yeah.
Jeremy (reference, not reviewed): It's 20
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): or
Jeremy (reference, not reviewed): 22 hours.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): It's not
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): that bad. I drove that straight through to go to Disneyland.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): I
Jeremy (reference, not reviewed): did drive it straight through to come see you.
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): Yeah, come see me again.
Jeremy (reference, not reviewed): Not to shoot a clown.
Jeremy (reference, not reviewed): don't
Jeremy (reference, not reviewed): the way
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): that you
Nick (reference, not reviewed): guys are really hitting that hard C on cum.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): The
Nick (reference, not reviewed): way you're saying that back and forth makes me a little uncomfortable.
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): do want to say thank you to Zach, the instructor, for just putting on such great classes. Me and the guys were talking after the fact. And man, yeah, it's just so great to be out there training again and like learning valuable skills and the price is right. Yeah. So if you want to shoot a class next week, and I think that is the 19th,
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): next
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): Sunday, October 19th, let me know. I'm going to put this offer out to anybody. If you want to shoot a class with Highlands Defense, like literally let me know. And we'll try to look at his schedule, see what's going on. And I'll come shoot the class with you. So any listeners who want to do that, you let me know. He said the class is the 18th.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): Let
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): me see.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): It's
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): next Sunday, which is the 18th of October. And yeah, any listeners that want to come out? Let me know. I'll go shoot a class with you because, like,
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): I'm
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): really trying really hard to get back to it and just get out there, be training, be better, be more deadly if someone should try to take what belongs to us, right? Like, that's the goal. And I think you'll really get a lot out of the class.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): So
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): let's do it. Let's go do it. You can check them out, highlandsdefense.com. Another epic class. I'll talk about the next one next week. And yeah, let's get training. Let's
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): get
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): out there and have some fun. Now,
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): the
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): class was awesome.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): I
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): have a policy of always being honest with you guys about guns and stuff like that. So I had some problems with a gun that I'm currently reviewing. This is not the final review, nor will it be, you know, like sometimes there's bumps in the road. We get past the bumps in the road, and I think that will probably be the case on this. Now, I have this high point carbine.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): It
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): is a 16-inch barrel. It looks amazing. I think I have about 100 to 150 rounds through it prior to this, prior to the course. So I took it. It was set up to be my main rifle. I was going to shoot it. I was going to film footage of it all day for the review because I thought that that would be, you know, an interesting test. Two things happened.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): And
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): again, like this is not the end of the world. Like
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): things
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): happen sometime when you're reviewing guns.
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): Figure it out, move past it,
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): and
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): then I'll report the entire thing once I'm done. But two problems. One,
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): we
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): were doing double feed malfunction drills,
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): and
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): I picked up some 5.56 brass off of the ground and put it, like not mine, probably been there for a few weeks, put it into the chamber, loaded the magazine, dropped the bolt because we were doing the malfunction drill on hard mode. Which is actually driving metal snap caps into actual brass.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): And
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): for some fucking reason, and I'm not blaming the gun for this. I don't think it was the gun. But it wedged in there so tight that I had to mortar
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): the
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): thing on the ground. And I'm like slamming this bitch on the ground. And it still would not come out of the chamber. We eventually had to get a hammer and hammer the charging handle open to get that brass out of the chamber.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): I
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): don't think it was the gun. Just bad luck.
Jeremy (reference, not reviewed): I've been there.
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): Yeah, same. Now, something else happened about two magazines later,
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): and
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): that was that the safety completely jammed up
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): and
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): would not, like I could not disengage the safety.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): And
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): if you know how that works, the grip pushes a spring and a detent up into the safety barrel. So like there's very few, there's three parts there, four parts there. So I was like, what the fuck? I could not disengage it no matter what I did. This afternoon, I took it apart, took the grip off, took the spring out, and the detent wouldn't quite come out. I had to put a huge magnet up there and finally got it to pull out. And when I pulled it out, it kind of stuck a little bit.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): There
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): was some discoloration and the finish on the detent at the top where it goes into the safety barrel, the pointed part. It was like corroded or something like that. Now,
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): again,
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): haven't shot a lot of rounds through this one yet, like 100 to 150 unsuppressed. As it was stock. And then about two magazines suppressed at the course. So I'm not exactly sure what that was. I did
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): reach out.
Jeremy (reference, not reviewed): It was probably sandblast medium.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): It
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): was
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): definitely
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): some crud.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): Or
Jeremy (reference, not reviewed): a burr.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): Is
Jeremy (reference, not reviewed): there a burr in there?
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): No, it didn't look like a burr. It just looked
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): like some corrosion.
Jeremy (reference, not reviewed): If it looked like aluminum oxide, where aluminum gets white and powdery,
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): or
Jeremy (reference, not reviewed): did it look like sand?
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): It
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): looked like copper fouling.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): As
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): it turned out. Turns out I have photos and I will show them to you guys if you hold on one second.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): Oh.
Jeremy (reference, not reviewed): Because I've had sandblast medium come out of those tiny little pockets before.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): Oh,
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): that would be interesting. Just whoever
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): assembled
Jeremy (reference, not reviewed): it. Yeah, media, sorry.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): I've
Jeremy (reference, not reviewed): had sandblast media come out of. Yeah, that. Okay, so what that looks like to me, and I've had this before, and I've had this on Atreus Super Selectors. Is there's divots in the barrel. So it goes click, click, click. You know, it pops up into that hole. And those holes are too deep. So instead of the angled part being in there, it goes to the flat part. And then you can't fucking turn it because it's hitting a flat and
Jeremy (reference, not reviewed): there's no way to press it down.
Jeremy (reference, not reviewed): I've had
Jeremy (reference, not reviewed): that several times on various, but I've had that a lot. Not a lot, but I've had it a couple times on some of the Atreus triggers. There's a cure for that if you want to do it the bullshit way, and that's just angle that pin a little bit more. Don't shorten it at all. Just make the angle steeper so it comes down
Jeremy (reference, not reviewed): further. Yeah, make the neck.
Jeremy (reference, not reviewed): Yeah. The other option is you cut the channel of the selector. So that it doesn't. Again, they're both bullshit ways. Get a new fucking selector and that's machined properly. But I'll bet you if you take that selector out and put that pin in there, it'll go all the way up to the flat and not stay in the
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): and
Jeremy (reference, not reviewed): not stay on the point.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): Oh, interesting.
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): Yeah.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): I'll
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): try
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): that. Actually,
Jeremy (reference, not reviewed): I've had that. I've had that a few times on various.
Jeremy (reference, not reviewed): You just throw it out and
Nick (reference, not reviewed): grab another one. seen
Nick (reference, not reviewed): that a lot on the Radian selectors.
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): Really? Interesting. Because look at the corrosion on the picture that's on the screen right now. Because on one side it had that black corrosion. And I scraped it off with a utility knife. It was definitely some kind of corrosion. And I haven't shot it enough, I don't think, to build anything like that up. Especially in that channel, which is mostly covered.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): It's
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): either in the path on the safety barrel or in the divot on the safety barrel. So
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): anyway.
Nick (reference, not reviewed): While you've got the safety and the detent out,
Nick (reference, not reviewed): stick
Nick (reference, not reviewed): something through the channel that the detent rides through.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): And
Nick (reference, not reviewed): just make sure that it goes like all the way through. Because I've also seen that before where there's a little tiny burr left up at the top.
Nick (reference, not reviewed): I literally reamed it out with a drill bit in my fingers. And then I was able to move freely.
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): Yeah, I'll definitely try both of those things. I put it back in, put a drop of oil in it, and now it runs just fine. So I don't know. I'll get it back to the range this week, test it a little more, but I'll do those things that you guys recommended before I do that. So anyway, yeah, just some random weirdness that happened. Thankfully, I did take a backup rifle. And again, like this isn't a criticism of the high point. Like it'll get a fair shake and a good chance. It was just
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): a
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): couple of those weird ass things. And that's why I always take two guns to classes because I've had too many times where shit just breaks or whatever. So,
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): yeah.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): Up
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): into that point, it shot great. I was actually very happy with it. I was really enjoying using the Mediator XL.
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): Yeah, I think in next week's class, I am going to shoot the Ross Martin RM1F for the defensive pistol course. Because I just really like it. So I think I'm going to shoot that one in class. I need to 3D print a holster for it this week.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): Which
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): brings me to my next thing. Oxarc. I've talked about him before. AUX ARC. He creates a bunch of different models of 3D printed stuff. And he just released his parametric holster for the Glock platform. And I'm pretty sure that you can get the Ross Martin to work in some Glock holsters, but not others. Now, because this is parametric, Nick,
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): do
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): you have a definition of parametric for the people? Or at least what it kind of does?
Nick (reference, not reviewed): It has parameters,
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): I
Nick (reference, not reviewed): guess, that you can adjust.
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): Yeah, that's exactly it. So it has parameters that you can adjust for, you know, slide height, slide width. Just trigger guard width and height and stuff like that. And I'm going to mess with this, do some measurements on this gun, and then put it into his parameterized model. And they're actually like a parametric model is like a lot harder because you have to, you know, build in limits on certain things so that everything actually goes and works. And I'm really impressed with all this stuff.
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): I've talked about them before and printed them many times. I've got a bunch of different versions.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): I'll
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): share this right here. Parametric Glock.
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): wait.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): This
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): is the IWB.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): And
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): then he's just got a bunch of other models over on Maker World. So you can go take a look at those if you have a 3D printer. I think it's a pretty cool use. I want to put one through a class. So that's my goal this week is to get at least a 3D printed holster for whatever gun that I use. And again, that's Oxarc, A-U-X-A-R-C.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): Nick,
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): what else did you have to talk about?
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): Well, I
Nick (reference, not reviewed): have a rifle that I've talked about in a couple of different configurations
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): over the last few
Nick (reference, not reviewed): years.
Nick (reference, not reviewed): It was a 13.9.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): And
Nick (reference, not reviewed): I could never get it to run right.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): So
Nick (reference, not reviewed): I changed it to
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): 6
Nick (reference, not reviewed): .5 Creedmoor here recently. And
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): that
Nick (reference, not reviewed): ran right. It was a 14.1 ballistic advantage barrel. And that ran right. I just never
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): got
Nick (reference, not reviewed): around to shooting it that much. And
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): one
Nick (reference, not reviewed): of the things I hate about it is that
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): that
Nick (reference, not reviewed): barrel is so thick. Like
Nick (reference, not reviewed): it is.
Nick (reference, not reviewed): Yeah, it's. It's like four and a half pounds and it's really short, right? So like
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): it's
Nick (reference, not reviewed): a big old, big old chunk of steel. And honestly, it just kind of sucked. Like the rifle was really cool, except that it was very, very front heavy. And yeah, that's just a lot of
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): weight
Nick (reference, not reviewed): for something that I wanted to be like kind of handy. So I wished that I could go back to the 13.9 Faxon
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): and
Nick (reference, not reviewed): it's a much thinner profile. Pretty, pretty lightweight for what it is.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): So
Nick (reference, not reviewed): every, I don't know, couple of months, I'll get on Google and like just type in
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): the, that
Nick (reference, not reviewed): barrel, the 13.9 Faxon 308
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): and
Nick (reference, not reviewed): see if anything comes up about other people setting them up.
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): Yeah.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): So
Nick (reference, not reviewed): the problems I was having with it,
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): I
Nick (reference, not reviewed): was getting brass stuck in the chamber, like really stuck. Like I'd have to hammer it out.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): And
Nick (reference, not reviewed): then it would also blow out primers,
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): which
Nick (reference, not reviewed): seemed like a headspace issue, right? So it's severely over-gassed to the point that it's unlocking too soon
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): and
Nick (reference, not reviewed): the chamber pressure is still high. Or it's a headspace issue. So
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): I
Nick (reference, not reviewed): put an adjustable gas block on it. I got a couple of different... Weight recoil springs. I got a couple of different weighted buffers. And I went through like all of the stuff. And I could never figure it out. So I got a hold of Faxon. And I sent it back to them with the bolt. And I got a headspace bolt for it when I got the barrel. So I sent it back. They checked headspace. They said everything looked fine. But they went ahead and sent me a new barrel and
Nick (reference, not reviewed): bolt anyway.
Nick (reference, not reviewed): I put that into the gun. Same thing, right? Like
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): I
Nick (reference, not reviewed): could have a really heavy recoil spring and a buffer in there and I could turn the gas down until it stopped working and then I could turn it back up a little bit and it'd start blowing out primers and stuff.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): Anyway,
Nick (reference, not reviewed): yeah, just never could. Tried a bunch of different ammo. Eventually I just got irritated and I gave up and I bought
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): the
Nick (reference, not reviewed): other barrel. Anyway,
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): so
Nick (reference, not reviewed): I'm going through all this and
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): every
Nick (reference, not reviewed): couple months I'm looking up.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): On
Nick (reference, not reviewed): Google. And I found a post somewhere the other day that was like
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): talking
Nick (reference, not reviewed): about the Faxon
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): large
Nick (reference, not reviewed): frame AR barrels, like the 6.5 Creedmoor, the 308, that stuff.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): And
Nick (reference, not reviewed): the guy's like, yeah,
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): you'll
Nick (reference, not reviewed): notice that some of their barrels they say are mid-length are actually a Armalite AR-10 carbine length,
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): which
Nick (reference, not reviewed): is like an eighth of an inch longer.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): And
Nick (reference, not reviewed): I was like, that's kind of weird.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): So
Nick (reference, not reviewed): I ended up pulling the 6.5 Creedmoor barrel out of the gun
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): and
Nick (reference, not reviewed): setting it so that the extension was on the edge of a table and the gas tube was hanging down.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): And
Nick (reference, not reviewed): then I put the Faxon barrel onto the table the same way next to it. And
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): wouldn't
Nick (reference, not reviewed): you believe... I it.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): The
Nick (reference, not reviewed): 6.5 Creedmoor
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): gas
Nick (reference, not reviewed): tube hung down about an eighth of an inch lower
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): than
Nick (reference, not reviewed): the Faxon gas tube.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): Right?
Nick (reference, not reviewed): Which, like, they should terminate in the same
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): spot,
Nick (reference, not reviewed): roughly. But, you know, it like, noticeably shorter. So I got on and found an AR-10 carbine length Armalite
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): gas
Nick (reference, not reviewed): tube.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): And
Nick (reference, not reviewed): that showed up.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): And
Nick (reference, not reviewed): I went to the range yesterday and I didn't shoot a whole lot because I had a bunch of different stuff that I had to shoot. So I only shot about 40 rounds. But before, I don't know that I ever made it through a mag without issues.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): And
Nick (reference, not reviewed): it ran perfectly.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): Like
Nick (reference, not reviewed): I could have left the gas alone. I was like, it's a little gassy. And I dialed the gas back.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): But
Nick (reference, not reviewed): yeah, shot perfectly.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): What the
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): hell?
Nick (reference, not reviewed): Yeah. Pretty interesting, right? I assume what's going on is that the gas tube is not getting, because it's shorter, is not getting a good gas seal in the gas key. So
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): if
Nick (reference, not reviewed): there's not enough,
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): it's
Nick (reference, not reviewed): leaking, basically, and it's very inefficient. So I'm turning the gas down until it stops working, which is probably over-gassed or about right. And then I'm turning the gas back up until it starts working. And now all of a sudden there's just like a fuckload of gas going in there. Also, the gas port on the barrel is huge. So if you are going to run one of these, I would get an adjustable gas block anyway. If you're going to shoot it suppressed.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): But
Nick (reference, not reviewed): that's all I can figure is that like between the can, the giant gas port, and then that seal, it's just blowing a fuck ton of gas back in there. And, uh, over gassing the gun really bad.
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): Wow.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): So
Nick (reference, not reviewed): yeah, pretty,
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): pretty
Nick (reference, not reviewed): wild.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): What a hard
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): fucking thing to troubleshoot, man.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): I'm
Nick (reference, not reviewed): gonna, I've, this is my first time seeing this. Like I, it's pretty weird. So I'm not really sure why they,
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): why
Nick (reference, not reviewed): they did that with the gas tube. If you look at the website
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): there,
Nick (reference, not reviewed): the listing doesn't say anything at all anywhere about the length being different. It says it's a mid-length gas system,
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): and
Nick (reference, not reviewed): it does not appear to be a mid-length gas system.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): Yeah,
Nick (reference, not reviewed): I thought that was pretty crazy.
Nick (reference, not reviewed): Like I said, I only shot 40 rounds, but it's doing
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): 40
Nick (reference, not reviewed): rounds better than I've gotten out of it so far. So I'm looking forward to shooting it more, kind of getting it dialed in.
Jeremy (reference, not reviewed): What's that straight up gay gas tube length called that somebody did? Like intermediate, where it's like between a mid and a rifle?
Jeremy (reference, not reviewed): It's
Jeremy (reference, not reviewed): just a cotton hair longer than a mid length?
Nick (reference, not reviewed): That's longer than this.
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): His is shorter.
Nick (reference, not reviewed): Well, so the,
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): let's
Nick (reference, not reviewed): see, there's like Armalite AR-10 carbine,
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): which,
Nick (reference, not reviewed): yeah, I think is, no, it's a little bit longer than mid length. And then Intermediate's a little bit longer than that.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): And
Nick (reference, not reviewed): then I guess that
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): Armalite
Nick (reference, not reviewed): had
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): their
Nick (reference, not reviewed): gas key in a slightly different position.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): And
Nick (reference, not reviewed): so the gas tubes needed to be a little bit longer for them.
Nick (reference, not reviewed): Apparently. Anyway.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): Yeah.
Nick (reference, not reviewed): Man, what a pain. I really hope that it continues to run well because it's a sweet setup.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): Like
Nick (reference, not reviewed): it's a very cool. Like it's still. Still a big heavy rifle, but much, much handier with the skinnier barrel on it. And
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): yeah,
Nick (reference, not reviewed): it's pretty sweet. I'm actually really excited because
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): I
Nick (reference, not reviewed): built this rifle originally and was super stoked about it and thought it was going to be really cool. Couldn't get it to run and that kind of like soured me.
Nick (reference, not reviewed): So I just like
Nick (reference, not reviewed): ignored it for a while.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): And
Nick (reference, not reviewed): then I got that 6.5 Creedmoor barrel and I thought this will be really cool. Like I'm back. Back after it again.
Nick (reference, not reviewed): And then I got
Nick (reference, not reviewed): it all put back together. And I was like, holy fuck, this thing is heavy. I hate it.
Nick (reference, not reviewed): Anyway, yeah, I'm pretty stoked about it again. I really, really hope that it continues to run well.
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): Dude, this has been a saga. It's
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): been going on for a
Nick (reference, not reviewed): long fucking time. It's been a couple of years.
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): Where did you say that gas tube came from?
Nick (reference, not reviewed): I found it on. Every gun part.
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): The original that's fucked up or that's the new one?
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): That's
Nick (reference, not reviewed): the new one.
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): Where'd you get the old one?
Nick (reference, not reviewed): Oh, I don't know. The old one, the problem is not the gas tube. The problem is the barrel.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): The
Nick (reference, not reviewed): listing for the barrel says that it is a mid-length
Nick (reference, not reviewed): barrel.
Nick (reference, not reviewed): But the shoulder on the gas block journal on the barrel is forward.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): That's so weird.
Nick (reference, not reviewed): Of where it normally would be. Um, so it is not a mid-length gas tube. It is a, uh,
Nick (reference, not reviewed): it is a Armalite AR-10 carving.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): Fucking
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): AR-10s, man.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): Yep.
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): Always problems,
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): never
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): answers. Uh, all right. Excellent, Nick. Uh, thanks for sharing. That's freaking great to finally hear good news on that rifle.
Nick (reference, not reviewed): Yeah, hope it, like I said, I'm just really trying to like keep my fingers crossed and hope that it keeps being good.
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): Early on, I was like,
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): I
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): want a shorty .308 battle rifle so bad. And then you
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): had so many problems
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): with yours. I was like, nah, I'm good.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): It could be 16. I
Nick (reference, not reviewed): mean, it could be, but this is cooler. I think this is a really great midpoint between like a 12 and a half inch .308. It's obnoxious.
Nick (reference, not reviewed): And there's nothing wrong with 16,
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): but
Nick (reference, not reviewed): you can go shorter and not give up a whole lot and be a little handier.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): And
Nick (reference, not reviewed): it's
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): still
Nick (reference, not reviewed): obnoxious, but not like as bad as something like a 12 and a half.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): And
Nick (reference, not reviewed): then you throw a can on it and
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): it's
Nick (reference, not reviewed): downright polite.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): Heck
Nick (reference, not reviewed): yeah.
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): Freaking awesome.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): All
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): right. So.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): I'm
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): going to try to shoot the RM1F in that course. But if I can't, I'm going to shoot either my M&P or a Staccato or my Springfield Echelon. Although I just shot that a ton. So I want to like switch it up and train with something else. But
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): on
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): all those ones I just mentioned, the Staccato, the M&P and the Echelon, I have CNG holsters for all of those. I think all three of them have holsters for lights as well. So yeah, I'm just going to. Take one of those as a backup. If you're looking for a holster for any gun, you want it fast. You want a great price. And honestly, fast is the thing. Like there's so many holster companies out there that are like six, seven weekly times. Nah. C&G Holsters even has QuickShip where you can get it within five days of your order.
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): They'll ship it within five days of your order. So go check them out. C-N-G Holsters. C-A-N-D-G Holsters.com. Coupon code WLS's life will save you money.
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): All right, well, you guys know what it's time for, right?
Jeremy (reference, not reviewed): Yeah, it's time for me to talk about the thing I wanted to talk about.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): It's time for
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): Jeremy to talk about the thing that he wanted to talk about.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): We
Jeremy (reference, not reviewed): forgot.
Jeremy (reference, not reviewed): Okay, go ahead. Real quick. So, we were talking earlier this week about something that happened in my shop a couple years ago.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): I
Jeremy (reference, not reviewed): had an older guy with no kids or grandkids come in. Or he might have had them, but just he gave everything else away. And he gave me a Youth Model 410, right? He was talking about it. And what he ended up deciding was he goes, I'm going to give this to you for free with the caveat that you give it away to some kid for free.
Jeremy (reference, not reviewed): Some kid that, you know, dad and his son come in, don't have a lot of money. You know, just don't be like advertising it, but like, you know, just if somebody comes in and sure shit, it took about
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): a
Jeremy (reference, not reviewed): couple of months and a guy came in with his kid, didn't look like he had a lot of money, was kind of hemming and hawing about like a youth model, something, something. I said, I'll tell you what, I got something. So I went in the back and I grabbed it and I handed it to him and he handed it to the kid and the kid was kind of, and they were looking for like a little 410 for this kid to go like rabbit hunting with. And
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): the
Jeremy (reference, not reviewed): dad was like, oh, that's really, Kid's like, I like it. And it's nothing fancy. was like a beat up old Savage single shot 410. And,
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): you
Jeremy (reference, not reviewed): know, it was nothing to like write home about. The kid was like, yeah, this this is this will work like this is nice. And the dad goes, well, how much is it? And I said, well, honestly, it's free. And the dad was like, excuse me. And I explained that this old man had it and he had no one to give it to or. He at least had given everybody else something else and still had this. And he just wanted to make a
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): real
Jeremy (reference, not reviewed): nice, like, just make a kid's day, right? Yeah. And we were talking about it. And
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): I
Jeremy (reference, not reviewed): had said something like, if I could figure out a way to make this a charity, that'd be cool. But I don't think I need to. I think we have enough listeners with good hearts. So if you have
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): a,
Jeremy (reference, not reviewed): and I don't want it to be just me. If you want to ship me something cool. But if you have a beat up old 22 that you don't really use or like an old youth model gun that your kids have outgrown and you, I mean, if you have somebody to give it to, by all means do that. But if you got that one gun that's just sitting there and you never use it and it's like an older 22 or an older 410 or an older youth model 20 gauge and you know of a gun shop that you can trust to actually follow through with
Jeremy (reference, not reviewed): something like that, take it down there. Let them have it for free on the caveat that they give it to a kid that really wants to use it and not just giving it away. And get some young kids into hunting and shooting. Because, like, this is something that we can do that costs us very little. If you know of a – actually, my best friend, I was telling him the story. And he goes, what's some little single shot job he's done at your place cost? And I go, $175. He goes,
Jeremy (reference, not reviewed): I'm going to come down there and pay for one of those. And you give it away to a kid.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): And
Jeremy (reference, not reviewed): I was like, you don't have to do that. I'm like, you know, he goes, no, I want to. He goes, I want to do that. He goes, I'll come down. I'll prepay for one. You don't have to fucking tell anybody anything about anything. And if a little, you know, boy or girl with their parent comes in and they really like it, he goes, just give it to them. I already paid for it.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): And
Jeremy (reference, not reviewed): I was like, all right. So everybody that listens, everybody that knows other people, find that. Find an old .22 that you don't use. If it's got sentimental value, like, I get it. Don't do that. I'm not talking about that gun. I got a .22 that hangs out in my barn, and the day I don't need that thing anymore, I'll probably do something with it.
Jeremy (reference, not reviewed): But, you know, that gun. If you're older or if you don't, grandma, grandpa, just, you know, find a shop you know. Find a shop owner that. Is willing to do that and make a kid's day. I mean, Christmas is coming up in a couple months. Again, doesn't necessarily have to be for Christmas, but that is when a lot of people get presents.
Jeremy (reference, not reviewed): That's true.
Jeremy (reference, not reviewed): And I think we could do a lot of good for our community because
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): we
Jeremy (reference, not reviewed): need kids to get into this so that when we're older, we're not fighting a younger generation.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): Yeah.
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): I think that's a awesome idea.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): Bro,
Jeremy (reference, not reviewed): if you want to ship River's Edge Tactical one, I'll do that. And I'll send them to other gun shops that I trust because I don't want it to be just me. But if anybody sends me an old bolt action 22 or an old 410 or something like that, I'll check it, make sure it's operational, make sure it's safe. And if it is, I'll either keep it and give it to a kid or I'll talk to a couple other gun shop owners that I know near me.
Jeremy (reference, not reviewed): That I trust to do something like that. Because I know Luke would do that. I know a couple other shops around me would do that.
Jeremy (reference, not reviewed): Well, I ain't giving away no 39A, Lenny. Don't be sending me nice shit like that. Send me shit that kids can get
Jeremy (reference, not reviewed): into shooting
Jeremy (reference, not reviewed): with. Again, it doesn't have to be nice. I don't want the best. I don't want people sending out donating. You know, $1,000 rifles. I want rifles that if you have a rifle, you just don't care about. And it's not worth that much money. Like, what are you going to do with $100 or $50? Take that old piece of shit and try to make a kid's day with it.
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): Yeah. Dude, I love this
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): idea. Although,
Jeremy (reference, not reviewed): Lenny, I did just sell a Model 39 the other day. So fuck you, Lenny.
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): Oh, man. All right. Yeah, that's a great idea. And if they need more info from you, they can call the shop, right?
Jeremy (reference, not reviewed): Yeah. If you want to call the shop, call. But like I said, do it to your local shop. It doesn't have to be me. If you want to send it to me, cool. If I get too many of them, because I don't want it to, like, get known that I do this. I don't want to do this all the time. I want this to be a surprise when the dad goes, how much? And you go, no, cheers. Do the paperwork. Out the door goes.
Jeremy (reference, not reviewed): Yeah, don't bring any laws, but talk to your local place. Again, if you have a... Local place that you like and trust. Talk to them. As long as it did have to be a complete piece of shit not to fucking pick up on that.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): There's
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): a lot of complete pieces of shit out there.
Jeremy (reference, not reviewed): There are.
Jeremy (reference, not reviewed): Go to shops you like, shops you trust. And if you don't, you want to do it anyway, send it to me and I'll take it to people that I know and trust. Yeah.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): All
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): right. Fucking awesome. Great idea.
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): We need to call it like the pause something.
Jeremy (reference, not reviewed): I don't know. It's fucking Secret Santa with guns.
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): Excellent. Really rolls right off the tongue.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): I'm
Jeremy (reference, not reviewed): not a namologist.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): Right.
Jeremy (reference, not reviewed): The Jeremiah Exchange. That's my son.
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): Yeah,
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): honestly.
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): Kind of awesome.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): All
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): right.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): It's
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): time for Bang Rank. Now, before we go ahead and kick this off, we'll talk about last week's listener votes. Let's see. The listeners, just a reminder, it was the most embarrassing. Actually, this was two weeks ago, right?
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): Because
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): last week was the video games, wasn't it? Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Well, I fucked that up. I'll figure that out.
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): So I'll
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): just give you a preview of what tonight's is. Tonight's lineup for Bang Rank is the worst gun show cliches. We're going to rank each gun show cliche by how much it annoys us. S is absolutely unbearable
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): and
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): that it makes you just want to choke the life out of somebody. F. Doesn't bother you at all. Really, whatever. Don't care. So S is the worst offender. Not your favorite. But S is just the one that annoys you the most. is the most unbearable. So here's what we got. I know what I got.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): You
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): know, we all know those booths, those guys. The not a gun booth. Beef jerky, rain gutters, phone cases. Like, come on. Come on now. The custom AR table from Jeremy. Just the absolute worst fucking ARs you've ever seen. All in one place. Usually extremely tactical. Tactical, that is. This is mine. The goddamn stun gun booth that goes off every fucking five seconds.
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): You can hear it through the whole building and everyone around you jumps every time it goes. Gun show markup. Like, man, you used to be able to get some good deals at gun shows. And now, like,
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): I
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): mean. Fuck me, I guess. Like you're paying MSRP plus. The gas station knives, just like table full of dragon knives and cheap swords for Conan the Barbarian on a gas station budget.
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): These are annoying. The secret price. No price tags. You just have to ask about every goddamn thing on the table, which usually. They want to barter with you, but like, I would just like to see a price, please. And then if that's within a range that I feel comfortable with, like we can barter from that point. But man, mark your
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): shit.
Jeremy (reference, not reviewed): Honestly, this motherfucker just needs to be a bingo game.
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): I know. And the inconvenienced vendor. He paid for a table. He set all his shit up. The second you ask about something, he looks at you like you kicked his fucking dog. Like, clearly you don't want to be here, bro. I get it. Okay. Why don't you not be here? So that's that. You can scan. To vote on
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): the
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): screen if you're watching the video. Or you can just go to welikeshooting.com slash rank after each episode. Voting stays open for seven days for listeners after the fact to go ahead and share their opinions. So let's go ahead and kick it off with, I know what I
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): got,
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): Sonny. Jeremy.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): I'm
Jeremy (reference, not reviewed): trying to put all these
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): in
Jeremy (reference, not reviewed): the row.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): Yeah.
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): There's eight, so there's going to be two.
Jeremy (reference, not reviewed): Yeah, I'm going to have some overlap. I know. I'm going to say,
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): you
Jeremy (reference, not reviewed): know what? This one honestly doesn't bother me that much because I know
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): I'm
Jeremy (reference, not reviewed): going to be that cranky old man one day.
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): Dude, you were that cranky old man five years ago.
Jeremy (reference, not reviewed): That's fair. Except I actually know what I got and know when it's not worth anything.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): I
Jeremy (reference, not reviewed): have a fun time explaining to boomers that their 1911s don't fetch the same price that they do because
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): nobody
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): gives a shit anymore. Right.
Jeremy (reference, not reviewed): I'm like, all the people that really thought these were cool was guys of your generation. And guess what? They're dying. And Gen Z and millennials just don't care about this shit like you guys do. I'm like, they're out there. But it's not like people are clamoring for, you know, fucking
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): World
Jeremy (reference, not reviewed): War II, 1911s like they used to be. Yes, there are some guys.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): I'm
Nick (reference, not reviewed): in about the same place because
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): if
Nick (reference, not reviewed): they have their prices posted at least,
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): you
Nick (reference, not reviewed): can like look at it and be, you know, laugh and walk away.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): Yeah, that's true.
Nick (reference, not reviewed): So I think I'm going to say B as well.
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): Okay.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): Savage. Yeah,
Savage (manual, reviewed): I'm in the same boat. I mean, you see it. A decent amount. It's not the worst offender, but it's definitely there. think B is a solid pick.
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): Get back there. Savage rates it a B. I'm going to go also a B. It's unanimous on this one. Kind of annoying, but like ultimately, you know, it's his shit. You can do whatever the fuck you want. So that'll be a B. Next is not a gun booth. Cell service, phone rain gutters, phone cases, beef jerky.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): What
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): the fuck is this place? What's even happening here? Savage.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): You
Savage (manual, reviewed): know, beef jerky, that's the one I see the most. It really is there. It's either the beef jerky or like the barbecue sauce. It's one of those two ones. And there is always a flea market. This one's kind of in. S territory for me. Because it's always there.
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): Yeah. Yeah, I can see that. Now, for me, this one, I find it really annoying because it's always like a fucking local bank. I don't know, man. Maybe that's cool, but it's not a farmer's market or like, you know, a local market. It's a fucking gun show. Like, I don't give a fuck about your rain gutters or your first provincial savings and loan. Or, you know, your phone cases with Joe Rogan's face on the back or Trump's face. Like, I just don't give a fuck.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): I'm
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): going to go with an A on this one. Nick, where do you stand?
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): I
Nick (reference, not reviewed): mean, there
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): are
Nick (reference, not reviewed): booths that are, like, within the same realm of interest.
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): Yeah.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): You
Nick (reference, not reviewed): know? Where it's, like, it's some sort of outdoor gear. You know, something like at least kind of sort of
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): adjacent.
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): Yeah.
Nick (reference, not reviewed): And that's fine. As long as they didn't take like the spot of someone who was going to be selling guns or ammo or whatever.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): Yeah. And all that stuff. Like
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): I'm totally fine with this is like just the weird shit. Like, you know, literally rain gutters. I saw
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): that at the last
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): one.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): Yeah.
Nick (reference, not reviewed): I see a lot of like wood art stuff at the ones here.
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): Yeah.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): Yeah.
Nick (reference, not reviewed): I don't.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): I
Nick (reference, not reviewed): generally just walk past and don't even pay any attention to them. It's weird.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): And
Nick (reference, not reviewed): I always wonder how much business they actually get. But that's about as far as my
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): thought
Nick (reference, not reviewed): goes.
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): Yeah.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): I'm
Nick (reference, not reviewed): going to say
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): C. All
Jeremy (reference, not reviewed): right. Jeremy,
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): where
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): do
Jeremy (reference, not reviewed): you stand? This doesn't bother me that much.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): They
Jeremy (reference, not reviewed): wouldn't be there if it wasn't effective. Especially since they're always there. You know what mean? Like if they weren't making money when they were there, then obviously they wouldn't be there.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): It's
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): true. But like, it's kind of the same thing at farmer's markets. Angel and I went to a farmer's market and there was exactly one fucking vendor that had fresh vegetables. The rest of them were just like fucking rain gutters and banks.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): That
Nick (reference, not reviewed): would piss me off. Or
Nick (reference, not reviewed): the 3D printed
Nick (reference, not reviewed): bullshit.
Jeremy (reference, not reviewed): That would annoy me. But there's like three booths that do this and a thousand other tables that don't.
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): Oh my God. Here. We're inundated with shit that isn't
Jeremy (reference, not reviewed): guns.
Jeremy (reference, not reviewed): I mean, I haven't been to one in a while, but the last time I went to a gun show, it was like two of them. And you were like, I guess I could like kind of understand. Like, it's just a lot of people in one place that are walking around and you have access. This doesn't bother me that bad. They're spending money to buy a table. So who gives a shit? And if they lose money, that's on fucking them.
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): Yeah, no, that's fair. Like, yeah, they paid to be there. That's
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): cool. I'm
Jeremy (reference, not reviewed): going to give it a D. This doesn't bother me at all.
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): It don't bug him much. That averages out to a B for all of us. The custom AR table. Just fucking anodized red nonsense craziness, spikes and shit all over the place. Jeremy.
Jeremy (reference, not reviewed): This isn't A for me. I ran into one of these guys at a gun shop or at a gun show like 20 years ago.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): And it
Jeremy (reference, not reviewed): was like,
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): yeah,
Jeremy (reference, not reviewed): it was,
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): I
Jeremy (reference, not reviewed): don't even think I had a story yet. And so this is probably like,
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): it
Jeremy (reference, not reviewed): was probably. Probably like 2010. So 16 years ago.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): And
Jeremy (reference, not reviewed): it was Spikes Tactical. A lot of Spikes Tactical stuff.
Jeremy (reference, not reviewed): And
Jeremy (reference, not reviewed): you could tell these were just like home builds. And they were fucking crazy. And I was like. One of them was set up in a way that I was just like. That's fucking retarded. And I literally said something to the guy. And I was like. What the fuck is that? And he was like. Oh man. And I'm like. Oh, you're clueless. Oh,
Jeremy (reference, not reviewed): okay.
Jeremy (reference, not reviewed): You're retarded. Oh, no, it's retarded. And I was like, oh, cool. You're just. You designed the, like, ultimate tactical. Like, it was tactical before the word existed. And you're just selling garbage to fucking retards. Oh. Now, mind you, this wasn't very long after the 2004 when the band got lifted. Yeah. So everybody and their brothers just buy an AR-15s left and right. And the more tactical that it
Jeremy (reference, not reviewed): is, like, the better, right? Right. And this was when you still got a heavy mix of, like, A2 and A3 uppers. You know what I mean? Yeah. You know, flat top versus carry handles. And I was just like, oh, you're ripping off morons. I got it.
Jeremy (reference, not reviewed): It's good work if you can
Jeremy (reference, not reviewed): get it. It's the dishonesty that bothered me. This is an A because those guys. I didn't. I shit talked Spike Tactical for years after that because of that booth. Because
Jeremy (reference, not reviewed): that was all they had.
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): I fucking love it. The best thing about this picture, by the way, is that they've got the Magwell vice clamp and they've got the AR the wrong direction on it.
Jeremy (reference, not reviewed): They're going to be like, this is Nick's gun.
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): No, this is definitely a Savage gun. Savage, how do you rank this?
Jeremy (reference, not reviewed): Hey.
Savage (manual, reviewed): Whoa.
Savage (manual, reviewed): Shots fired.
Savage (manual, reviewed): Whoa.
Savage (manual, reviewed): Whoa.
Savage (manual, reviewed): Actually, F, because all the gun shows I've gone to in my area, I've never seen shit like this.
Savage (manual, reviewed): What? That's they're
Jeremy (reference, not reviewed): illegal.
Savage (manual, reviewed): That's because
Savage (manual, reviewed): they're illegal where you live. No, no. Like, the last gun show I went to, everything was still legal. But seriously, I've never seen this shit kind of like this before.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): What? That's crazy.
Savage (manual, reviewed): like bone stock stuff.
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): Damn. Okay. Nick.
Nick (reference, not reviewed): I'm going to say this one's an S for similar reasons to Jeremy. These guys wouldn't be here. It's either that they haven't gone out of business yet or it's working. And
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): if
Nick (reference, not reviewed): it's working. That just means that they're taking money from people who don't know better and generally the prices are also insane. It'll be like Bear Creek bullshit for like, you know,
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): I
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): got it for only $1,500 and it's like a
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): $300 AR. So
Nick (reference, not reviewed): yeah, not only are they putting together some shitty guns, which would be whatever if they were selling them at an appropriate price, but then they're selling them to people for way, way too much money
Nick (reference, not reviewed): and
Nick (reference, not reviewed): ripping people off. That really bugs me.
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): What did you rank it?
Nick (reference, not reviewed): Oh, S.
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): S. Oh, shit. Okay. This is going to be my second A. It's a thing here. Oh, my God. They're so bad.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): Well, everybody
Jeremy (reference, not reviewed): at the gun shows there is too fucking high to realize it's garbage.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): Seriously.
Nick (reference, not reviewed): If Gun Jesus showed up at the gun show,
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): those
Nick (reference, not reviewed): are the guys that he'd be whipping.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): Yeah.
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): Flipping their tables. Exactly. Yeah. That average 2B for all of us. Again, we're 3B so far. The goddamn stun gun booth with fucking like every six seconds just scaring the shit out of you. Because, you know, you're at a gun show. You hear a big fucking loud crack. And this is an S. This is my S. This annoys me. I do not like it. It's like have your fucking stun guns. You don't need to be cracking them off every five seconds. Jeremy.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): This
Jeremy (reference, not reviewed): doesn't bother me that much.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): This
Jeremy (reference, not reviewed): is right in that realm with self-defense, which is why a lot of people buy guns. Yeah. And boomers thinking their little old lady can't handle herself a pistol, so I'm going to get me. And to be fair, some of them are probably right. And they
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): fucking crack it like right as women are walking by and shit.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): Yeah, they just got to fucking hit the
Jeremy (reference, not reviewed): button. Yeah, don't. Yeah.
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): Fucking jackasses. I
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): fucking hate
Jeremy (reference, not reviewed): it. Autism didn't exist in my generation. Oh, yeah. Tell me about the model
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): train in your basement.
Jeremy (reference, not reviewed): All 37 of them in the entire basements made up of tracks that are on times like the fucking Italian government's running this son of a bitch.
Jeremy (reference, not reviewed): It still doesn't bother me that bad. I'm going to give this a C.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): C.
Jeremy (reference, not reviewed): All right. And they wouldn't be there every fucking
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): weekend if they weren't making money. Oh, it's not if they're making money or not. It's that they're fucking annoying. Nick.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): You
Nick (reference, not reviewed): know,
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): I
Nick (reference, not reviewed): have never seen I have never seen this like at the level that you're talking about
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): where people
Nick (reference, not reviewed): walking by and stuff that that would be annoying to me. I've seen them like they're on the table and they let somebody like hit the button or whatever. And that that doesn't. That doesn't bug me. Cause like if I went up and picked one up, I'd also be like, Hey, can I, can I play with it? You know? Um,
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): I
Nick (reference, not reviewed): am going to say this one is a C
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): Savage. Yeah.
Savage (manual, reviewed): I'm in the same boat. Uh, I see the, you know, stun gun booth around every once in while, but you just don't see them. I, at least when I was going
Savage (manual, reviewed): crazy,
Savage (manual, reviewed): using it that often,
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): it's
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): so
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): interesting. It'd
Savage (manual, reviewed): be annoying, but
Savage (manual, reviewed): it's not a big
Savage (manual, reviewed): deal.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): And
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): they get the fucking loudest ones. Who was this? I saw somebody was like,
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): where is
Jeremy (reference, not reviewed): it?
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): I
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): saw it in the chat. Oh, yeah. As somebody with noise sensitivity, I really, really, really hate those damn assholes, says Captain Doogie. So, Savage, what do you rate this one at, then?
Savage (manual, reviewed): Yeah, see.
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): So, fucking another B average? Yep.
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): Okay, it's all Bs tonight, boys.
Nick (reference, not reviewed): We're all just mildly annoyed
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): at the gun show.
Jeremy (reference, not reviewed): When your girlfriend has the most average tit size, it's 4B. This
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): is the gun show markup. Look, man, I walked in looking for a deal, but like this costs more than I can get it from a local shop, which is also MSRP plus.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): Nick,
Nick (reference, not reviewed): isn't this just gun shows?
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): Like,
Nick (reference, not reviewed): that's just what a gun show is, right?
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): You know, when I first started getting into gun shows, man, they had fucking cases and Mosins. Mosins were 75 bucks. There was good deals everywhere. Yeah,
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): but I could go to my shop and
Nick (reference, not reviewed): pick up Mosin for 70 bucks, though.
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): I don't know. Man, I feel like when I first got into guns, there was good deals. Now,
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): everything's over. That I will agree
Nick (reference, not reviewed): with. There was more surplus and stuff.
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): Yeah.
Nick (reference, not reviewed): So there were better deals there. But the gun shows around here have always been kind of shitty as far as pricing goes.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): Like
Nick (reference, not reviewed): the reason to go to a gun show was like I want to find something and play with it before I buy it at a gun shop or order it online.
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): Yeah.
Nick (reference, not reviewed): Or I'm after something used or I'm after some like obscure magazine or like uncommon firearm of some sort
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): that
Nick (reference, not reviewed): a shop wouldn't have. Good deals on some used stuff or, you know, do some horse trading or something.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): But, yeah,
Nick (reference, not reviewed): like all of the
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): stuff
Nick (reference, not reviewed): is overpriced for the most part.
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): Yep.
Nick (reference, not reviewed): At least around here. And I guess that is really annoying. I have come to just accept it and expect it.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): But
Nick (reference, not reviewed): imagine what a cool world it would be
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): if
Nick (reference, not reviewed): they weren't
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): that
Nick (reference, not reviewed): bad.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): If
Nick (reference, not reviewed): the prices were good. And so the more I think about it,
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): I'm
Nick (reference, not reviewed): going say that this one,
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): I'm
Nick (reference, not reviewed): going to give this one an A. All
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): right.
Nick (reference, not reviewed): Savage.
Savage (manual, reviewed): Definitely A fucking territory. Close to S, but not quite. It's all been overpriced for like the last 15 years.
Savage (manual, reviewed): Yeah.
Savage (manual, reviewed): Stupid, ridiculous, overpriced assholes trying to make
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): whatever.
Savage (manual, reviewed): I don't know. Fuck them.
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): Jeremy.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): Wait,
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): Savage, did you say S? A. Yeah, that's what I thought.
Jeremy (reference, not reviewed): This is my ass.
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): This is your ass? Yeah.
Jeremy (reference, not reviewed): When I was a kid, gun shows were more like meat swaps and stuff like that. It was old guys selling their collections off. There were a couple, maybe a couple FFLs there, but it wasn't like everybody at a gun show now is an FFL. Like all of them. It's just a secondary place. For a shop to take their shit to to try to make some more money on the fucking weekends. Like that's all that it
Jeremy (reference, not reviewed): is. And they have their numbers. They have their, you know, and it was there is no gun show. Like this is what ruined gun shows. There is no deal anymore. There is no 10% off for the gun show. Oh, 10% over cost for the gun show. Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. It was just
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): here's
Jeremy (reference, not reviewed): more of the here's my shit from my shop that I brought to this table.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): Yeah. This
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): is the most
Jeremy (reference, not reviewed): annoying thing for me.
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): So, okay.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): I
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): also agree with you guys that it is super annoying and it would be at the top for me.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): But
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): I honestly just don't care because I just don't go to gun shows anymore because of pretty much this. So, like, I'm kind of indifferent on it as a whole. I'm going to go B because,
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): I
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): mean, it's one of the reasons I don't go to him anymore. But also...
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): Like
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): there's other things that annoy me more. So this one will average to an A for the cast.
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): The fucking just dragon knives and crazy Chinese like fucking made out of bendable steel. don't know. Like just honestly, it looks like something like a dragon dick or something. Conan would stab into a big giant snake. Savage.
Savage (manual, reviewed): B territory. mean, it's. You know, they're everywhere. I don't think they're necessarily annoying because everybody kind of likes knives, but there's some ridiculous stuff and there's some cool stuff. So it's B territory for me.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): Yeah,
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): for me, I actually, I think they look fun. Like I'm not going to buy any, but they don't annoy me at all. I think they're pretty cool. And I know that kids get way into them, so it doesn't bug me at all. How about you, Nick?
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): Oh,
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): I
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): rated it
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): an F, by the way.
Nick (reference, not reviewed): I think that they are tarted. I do not like them.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): But
Nick (reference, not reviewed): they're also not really like hurting anything and they're generally not crazy overpriced.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): Like
Nick (reference, not reviewed): I'm sure that they are overpriced, but
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): you
Nick (reference, not reviewed): know,
Nick (reference, not reviewed): they're not
Nick (reference, not reviewed): like the guy building the shitty AR.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): Truth.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): So
Nick (reference, not reviewed): yeah, I guess I'm really not offended.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): Yeah,
Nick (reference, not reviewed): like knives belong at a gun show.
Nick (reference, not reviewed): That is
Nick (reference, not reviewed): fine. Even shitty knives.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): So,
Nick (reference, not reviewed): yeah, I'm going to let's go D. D,
Nick (reference, not reviewed): Jeremy. would
Nick (reference, not reviewed): walk by and raise an eyebrow and be like, yeah.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): Not
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): me. I fucking stop and look at him.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): I'm
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): like, you know,
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): I
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): could carry that. Jeremy, what do you think?
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): This
Jeremy (reference, not reviewed): is F for me. I don't give a shit. These guys don't bother me. At least, yeah, you're like, oh, it's a $10 pocket knife. Cool. They're not. They're not overpriced. They are garbage. You know they're garbage, and you're going to buy one anyways because it has, you know, what's that called?
Jeremy (reference, not reviewed): It's got a screen-printed naked lady on it, and you're 13.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): Yeah.
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): Exactly.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): And
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): if I can get one of those dragon knives with the screen-printed naked lady on it, even better for me.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): My kid's
Jeremy (reference, not reviewed): birthday is tomorrow. I've to blow up balloons.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): Okay, yeah, no problem.
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): Gas
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): station knives.
Savage (manual, reviewed): Jeremy's blowing something.
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): Averaged to a D for us. The secret price. No price tags. You have to ask about every goddamn thing. I just pass them up.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): I
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): literally just ignore them. They don't annoy me. I'm just indifferent to their stupidity. B for me. Savage.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): Kind
Savage (manual, reviewed): of D. I never really, again, I don't know of these non-priced. Items of which you speak of. just doesn't seem to happen around here that much. That's
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): lucky. Nick?
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): I'm
Nick (reference, not reviewed): going to say S on this one because it's usually
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): some
Nick (reference, not reviewed): old man who has a bunch of random bullshit
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): that he
Nick (reference, not reviewed): thinks is very important and collectible and like nobody else does.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): And
Nick (reference, not reviewed): he simultaneously wants your attention
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): but
Nick (reference, not reviewed): doesn't actually want to. Like part with anything or make any kind of deal or even be like cool. It's one thing when they're like really excited to
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): like
Nick (reference, not reviewed): talk about stuff or show you stuff.
Nick (reference, not reviewed): But yeah,
Nick (reference, not reviewed): it seems like a lot of times when there aren't any prices, it's just like some random old shit and they're like really guarded. And
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): yeah,
Nick (reference, not reviewed): this one pisses me off. I'm going to say S.
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): And there's usually something with a swastika in their case.
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): Jeremy, the secret price. No price tags.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): You're
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): muted.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): I
Jeremy (reference, not reviewed): have mixed feelings about this.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): Because
Jeremy (reference, not reviewed): on one hand, yeah. Okay. So like when people are in my shop, they go, what's your best deal on that? And I go, well, the price I'm asking is right here. It's now on you to counter offer. Right. I've already made an offer. I'm fine with that. You now need to make a counteroffer if you think I'm willing to accept it. Yeah. The problem is one of two things. Either the guy's just a guy and he has a tape. And he doesn't have price tags made up because he's old. And he forgot how to write because he's decrepit.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): And
Jeremy (reference, not reviewed): like I can forgive that guy. He wasn't planning on being here. And his wife probably had to drive him there because he lost his license a decade ago. But like the other guy is just hoping that you throw out a fucking highball offer. That's out of the, or he gets to go, whoa, no, no, no. That's a
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): $2
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): ,000 rifle right there. That gun right there killed
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): No, that's the
Nick (reference, not reviewed): real reason is so that he can do that.
Jeremy (reference, not reviewed): Well, there's two different guys and I've met both of them. I've met some really old guys that were kind of cool and they were just selling off their collections. But I've met the guy that he didn't really want to sell his collection. I think his wife was making him go there or a court order. I'm not really sure.
Jeremy (reference, not reviewed): And he's just kind of, you know, doesn't want to really sell anything. So he just wants to highball offers. If it's that guy, then fuck that guy. That's like fucking the S. The old guy that's just fucking clueless and doesn't need to be there anyways. I can forgive him a little bit. But yeah, it's fucking annoying. Put some prices on there.
Jeremy (reference, not reviewed): I've already given everything, everything. I'll put this at, I'll put this in an A. All right. Averages to a B.
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): And then finally, this is an S for me. This is the inconvenience fender. Fucking came to a gun show, put all the shit out on the table. I ask a simple question and you act like a fucking dickhead for no reason. This has happened to me like 10 times
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): and
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): it is one of my biggest annoyances. I'm like, look, dude, if you don't want to be here, I get it. Don't be. It's very easy. Just don't pay for it. Don't come set up. Just don't be here if you don't want to be here. I don't know why you got to be such a dumb fuck. You're very unpleasant and I hate you. Savage.
Savage (manual, reviewed): Yeah, I'm kind of
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): sea
Savage (manual, reviewed): territory. I've seen them a lot. They're always annoyed for some fucking reason or another.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): But
Savage (manual, reviewed): there's not too many of them. So it's kind of sea. Yeah.
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): Nick.
Nick (reference, not reviewed): I kind of rolled this in with the no price tag.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): Yeah.
Nick (reference, not reviewed): But
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): I'm
Nick (reference, not reviewed): going to give this one also an S because fuck that guy.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): I
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): agree. And Jeremy,
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): he's
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): yawning.
Jeremy (reference, not reviewed): This is an S for me, especially as somebody that owns a shop and tries to be helpful to people. Like I answer inane questions all day to the best of my ability, right? I don't. I've had people tell me. That, like, me and my guys, they're like, you I've walked in other gun shops and they acted like we were bothering them that we were even there. And I'm like, yeah, they've been threatened with their lives about that shit.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): Yeah,
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): it's just so fucking annoying. I'm like,
Jeremy (reference, not reviewed): man.
Jeremy (reference, not reviewed): Like, if you don't want to, like, I just don't, I don't understand. I don't understand the mentality of, like, you're at work trying to do things. Like,
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): be
Jeremy (reference, not reviewed): at work. Like, people are here. They don't know. Which is why they came here to ask you, the supposed expert, like fucking help them, right?
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): Yeah, the last time I had one of these, I was like, hey, how many magazines does this come with? And he looked at me like I was retarded. He's like, it comes with one from the factory. Okay, how the fuck am I supposed to know that asshole? Just like so derisive. God, I fucking hate him, man.
Jeremy (reference, not reviewed): Yeah, this is ass for me. Fuck. Like those, I mean, somebody who acted like this is literally the reason that I opened a gun
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): store.
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): Right. I do remember you said that.
Jeremy (reference, not reviewed): Somebody, there was a gun store in range, like it's about 45 minutes away from my house, but it's one of the, you know, and at that time it was one of like my two options to go to. And
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): the
Jeremy (reference, not reviewed): fucking, the dude behind the counter is this fat, dumb piece of shit. I fucking hate him. I think he's dead now, which is good.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): It's
Jeremy (reference, not reviewed): just a fat, stupid asshole. And it's a really like they were well known back in the day for like being a police supply store as well. And basically, if you weren't a cop and this guy used to be a cop, if you weren't a cop, you didn't know what you were talking about. I'm law enforcement. And literally, I was just like, I can fucking do this better than you. And then you did. And then I did. God, I want to put them out of business so badly, but they're too far away.
Jeremy (reference, not reviewed): And there's a lot of gun shops. Ranges around me. Like an inordinate amount. But yeah. Yeah. This is ass. Like I fucking hate these guys. Like especially since most of them are fucking retarded. Would just want to act like they're smarter than you. Yeah. Fuck that guy. I hope he dies in fire.
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): I totally agree. All right. That's going to average out to an A for the cast. Finally, a little bit here. End and open listener voting. All right. There we go. So here is the worst gun show cliches. Hosts and live viewers ranked the gun show markup as an A. Hosts and live viewers ranked the inconvenience vendor an A. So we are all very annoyed by that. Savage brought down the
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): average on the inconvenience vendor. And I guess I brought down the average on the gun show markup.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): I
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): know what I got. Hosts and live viewers, B.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): No
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): price tags. Hosts and viewers, B.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): The
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): not a gun booth. Hosts and viewers, B. We're all like very in the middle on these. The stun gun. Hosts, B. Live viewers, A. Thank you. I'm glad you guys recognize. Custom AR table. Hosts and viewers, B. And then we disagreed on gas station knives. Hosts, D. Overall. Live viewers, C. And that will do it for this episode of Bang Rank. If you have some ideas. I got one in from a listener that I really like, and it'll be the Halloween version
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): on October 26th is when we'll do that one. think it's a little fun one to do for that. Zombie related and whatnot. And yeah, thanks for the people who are voting, not just live, but also after the fact. That'll do it. Another episode of Bang Rank in the tank.
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): Have you guys ever heard of a company called Stuff and Things? They like to go by stink.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): Why,
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): yes. Why, yes. Me
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): too. Put
Savage (manual, reviewed): some stink on it.
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): Exactly. Y'all need to put some stink on it. So I just saw today that Nick and I got to see this in person and mess with it. It's kind of fucking awesome. This is the caulk stock. Stalk. The caulk stock. C-A-U-L-K-S-T-A-U-L-K. Works like a caulk gun and a stock. And it's made for the, what is it? The STG 50, which is that thing that they
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): actually modified the Kel-Tec gun and made it fun.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): Nick,
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): do you remember this?
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): Oh,
Nick (reference, not reviewed): I sure do.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): It
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): was awesome.
Nick (reference, not reviewed): I love it. Yeah. I have pictures of it.
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): Yeah, it's so good. So basically it's a stock that goes, what gun is that? The fucking Kel-Tec?
Nick (reference, not reviewed): Oh. The
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): P50.
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): Thank you. Yeah. And it's got two metal rods.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): So
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): it's like kind of like a PDW stock, but the mechanism that you pull it out and then push it back in is exactly like a caulk gun. And
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): just
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): freaking, it was really cool. Really awesome, man. This one looks so much cleaner
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): than the
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): one that they had.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): Yeah.
Nick (reference, not reviewed): The one that we saw was like a really early, just dicking around, throwing it together.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): They
Nick (reference, not reviewed): said they'd literally gone to the Home Depot and bought a couple of caulking guns and used the parts. And it looks like it goes on to a Picatinny rail, so
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): it's
Nick (reference, not reviewed): probably compatible with a bunch of stuff as long as the rails will
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): clear
Nick (reference, not reviewed): the gun, right?
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): I
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): guess so. Let me see.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): Which
Nick (reference, not reviewed): is pretty cool.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): Let
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): me search on their website for
Nick (reference, not reviewed): caulk.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): And
Nick (reference, not reviewed): to be clear, this one does not appear to be made from caulking gun parts from the Home Depot.
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): No,
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): this one looks nice.
Nick (reference, not reviewed): It looks like a vaguely similar idea, but
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): much
Nick (reference, not reviewed): less ghetto.
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): Yeah, so here we go. Got it.
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): Inspired by the beautiful simplicity of caulk guns, it's robust, intuitive, and kind of dumb, yet not so dumb. Started as a joke, but we were quickly impressed with its actual potential.
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): With this Picatinny mount system that's also wide enough to use on the ST-50. Does it only work on the ST-50? Of course not. Throw it on your gun of choice and rip it back. Oh yeah, this is fucking great. This is even better than I thought it was. Hmm. Do we need some of these guys?
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): Yeah. Does
Nick (reference, not reviewed): it say what the width of it is?
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): No.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): Well,
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): maybe. No, it does not.
Nick (reference, not reviewed): That's the real question is what's the distance between the rails? You know, you can measure,
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): see
Nick (reference, not reviewed): if it'll fit different guns.
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): Probably pretty fucking good from the looks of it because
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): it's
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): wider than the charging handle on this gun.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): Yeah.
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): It's wider than the P90 mag.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): Yeah.
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): Looks pretty good. $150. You get to save 11%, which is their best coupon code that they have at stinkusa.com. Just go look for the cock stock. And yeah, it's like a PDW stock that works. Better than a lot of the bullshit that you've seen out there. And also, it's fucking hilarious. And these guys are great.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): So
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): go check them out.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): And
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): now it's time, my friends,
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): to
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): fight.
Nick (reference, not reviewed): It's time for gunfights.
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): All right. Nicholas Lunch.
Nick (reference, not reviewed): Yes.
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): It's time for you to have your glory.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): You can
Nick (reference, not reviewed): have it.
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): What if I don't want it?
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): You
Nick (reference, not reviewed): can have the glory.
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): I don't want the glory.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): No,
Nick (reference, not reviewed): I insist.
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): I said I didn't want glory. I said it five times.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): Oh,
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): man.
Nick (reference, not reviewed): Well, are you guys ready?
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): Yeah. I just accidentally loaded Bang Rink.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): This
Nick (reference, not reviewed): is Gun Fights,
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): where
Nick (reference, not reviewed): I show the cast five guns,
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): and
Nick (reference, not reviewed): then they try to guess what they sold for. I don't know what's happening.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): Oh,
Nick (reference, not reviewed): God. Anyway, they try to guess what they sold for and whoever gets the closest wins. And then they yell at me when they find out what the theme
Nick (reference, not reviewed): is.
Nick (reference, not reviewed): I'm
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): very excited.
Nick (reference, not reviewed): Nick's a faggot.
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): I think Nick is a very nice heterosexual man.
Nick (reference, not reviewed): Takes one to know one, Jeremy.
Savage (manual, reviewed): Uh-oh. Uh-oh.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): All right.
Nick (reference, not reviewed): Here's the first gun.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): This
Nick (reference, not reviewed): is the Canik. Mete SF in 9mm.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): This
Nick (reference, not reviewed): one is optics ready. I don't know if they're all optics ready. Probably.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): Let's
Nick (reference, not reviewed): see. It says that it's in excellent condition with a mirror finish bore. It includes one magazine and a flare to magwell insert. And matching slide frame codes. I don't know what that means. Are they saying the serial numbers match?
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): Yeah.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): And it's also a big stupid
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): fucking serial number that sucks to put in your bound book.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): Of
Nick (reference, not reviewed): course.
Jeremy (reference, not reviewed): That's why I bought a barcode scanner.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): It's
Savage (manual, reviewed): nice.
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): I also have
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): one. I just always forget about it.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): The
Nick (reference, not reviewed): barcode scanner is very nice.
Nick (reference, not reviewed): Let's see. 22 bids
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): on
Nick (reference, not reviewed): this here. Bad boy.
Jeremy (reference, not reviewed): Not
Jeremy (reference, not reviewed): to interrupt. Is this
Jeremy (reference, not reviewed): used or new? Because it looks kind of used. Not to interrupt you, but. What would be really nice is if they would come up with some kind of scannable code on the outside of boxes that just auto-imported everything into your bound book.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): Oh, yeah. I'm just saying.
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): Okay, so.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): They
Nick (reference, not reviewed): do.
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): You can do this. And I have a project that I haven't had a chance to start yet where I'm going to create something that will do that because I fucking hate this.
Nick (reference, not reviewed): I've had software that did do that.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): I'm
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): going to make free software that does it.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): Yeah,
Jeremy (reference, not reviewed): but not everybody has like a QR code that I can go
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): and
Jeremy (reference, not reviewed): then it just goes to my fast bound and does it.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): No,
Nick (reference, not reviewed): it the it used the
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): the whatever
Nick (reference, not reviewed): other is
Nick (reference, not reviewed): UPC
Nick (reference, not reviewed): or what. Yeah, but it populated everything from the UPC and then there'd be another barcode for the serial number and you scan that.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): It's
Nick (reference, not reviewed): pretty sweet.
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): Yeah.
Nick (reference, not reviewed): But anyway,
Nick (reference, not reviewed): 22 bids on this bad boy.
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): Yeah.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): And
Nick (reference, not reviewed): it looks like all of the guesses are in.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): So
Nick (reference, not reviewed): I can tell you guys now that this sold. Oh, wait, no. First, I have to read your. Jeremy says $400. Gun Savage has come to. Wow.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): Savage says
Nick (reference, not reviewed): $300. Panic pistols. Shawn says 422. Guns from Dear WLS.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): This
Nick (reference, not reviewed): sold for $255.
Savage (manual, reviewed): Yeah,
Savage (manual, reviewed): bitch.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): Savage was
Nick (reference, not reviewed): $45 off. Of course, Savage continues to be the
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): canic
Nick (reference, not reviewed): whisperer.
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): Yeah,
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): the canic
Savage (manual, reviewed): autist.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): And
Nick (reference, not reviewed): then...
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): I
Savage (manual, reviewed): still haven't gotten my canic yet.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): What
Savage (manual, reviewed): the
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): fuck?
Nick (reference, not reviewed): Yeah, Shawn's a real piece of shit.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): Why?
Nick (reference, not reviewed): These are all guns from Dear WLS.
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): Okay, well, first off, Canic Mete SF 9mm 4.19 inches was literally in Dear WLS tonight.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): I
Nick (reference, not reviewed): don't think the 4.19 inches was. Are you sure? Canic Mete SF was.
Jeremy (reference, not reviewed): Shawn's just thinking about his dick. Bro, I wish.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): What
Jeremy (reference, not reviewed): do you think I did? Double it? Right.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): You
Jeremy (reference, not reviewed): know, when you
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): stretch it out.
Nick (reference, not reviewed): thinking about his dick? That's kind of gay.
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): No, I wish it was 4.19 inches.
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): Canik Mete
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): SF
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): 4.19. That's literally, that's what triggered
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): God damn it. All
Nick (reference, not reviewed): right, here's the next gun. This is an RXM.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): You
Nick (reference, not reviewed): guys all know what's coming now.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): This
Nick (reference, not reviewed): is an RXM full-sized. It's got a Vortex Venom mounted on it, which is a red dot.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): Yeah,
Nick (reference, not reviewed): this one is also used. It had 38 bids. 38 bids.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): It
Nick (reference, not reviewed): says it's in excellent condition, showing minimal
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): signs
Nick (reference, not reviewed): of handling, or shows minimal handling.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): Yeah,
Nick (reference, not reviewed): looks pretty clean overall.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): It's
Nick (reference, not reviewed): an RXM.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): People
Nick (reference, not reviewed): know what those look like.
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): Okay, 38
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): fucking bids.
Jeremy (reference, not reviewed): 38 bids. That's
Jeremy (reference, not reviewed): right.
Jeremy (reference, not reviewed): But those could be going up by $5 a piece.
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): I know. Well, if they were going up by $5 a piece, this would be expensive as shit.
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): It's true.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): It could be
Nick (reference, not reviewed): going up by a dollar.
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): true. It could be going up by a penny.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): It's
Nick (reference, not reviewed): true.
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): I changed my bid. I hope I don't regret it.
Nick (reference, not reviewed): All right.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): The
Nick (reference, not reviewed): bids are in.
Nick (reference, not reviewed): Jeremy says $400.
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): God damn it.
Nick (reference, not reviewed): Savage says $400.
Nick (reference, not reviewed): You
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): fucking jackasses.
Nick (reference, not reviewed): Shawn says $472. Ha!
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): This sold
Savage (manual, reviewed): for $355.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): God
Nick (reference, not reviewed): damn it! Actually, not a terrible price.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): You
Nick (reference, not reviewed): can find these in the $350 range,
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): but
Nick (reference, not reviewed): having the red dot on there
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): is kind
Nick (reference, not reviewed): of a nice bonus, you know?
Nick (reference, not reviewed): Yeah,
Nick (reference, not reviewed): that's what I thought. one looks like barely used.
Nick (reference, not reviewed): So yeah, Savage and Jeremy were only $45 off, making them the closest.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): I'm
Nick (reference, not reviewed): still convinced that they are texting back and forth.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): Where
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): to God? It is not
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): happening.
Nick (reference, not reviewed): I swear to me.
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): Nick and
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): I had a whole
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): conversation trying to figure out how you guys are cheating.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): No,
Savage (manual, reviewed): I'm not even
Savage (manual, reviewed): going to bother figuring it out. I'd at
Savage (manual, reviewed): least fucking win or get close. Fuck.
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): Yeah, it doesn't even make sense that you would let Jeremy just walk all over you like this.
Nick (reference, not reviewed): I don't even think you guys are really cheating. I think you're just like texting. Well, I don't know if that would be considered cheating, but you're just texting back and forth being like,
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): what
Nick (reference, not reviewed): do you think? I think I'm going to say this. then you're
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): like, nobody's
Savage (manual, reviewed): still gotten the theme, right? I
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): got
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): the theme in the
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): first guess.
Savage (manual, reviewed): Oh, okay. All right.
Nick (reference, not reviewed): This is a Daria Arms DY9.
Nick (reference, not reviewed): This one is
Nick (reference, not reviewed): gay. mean, gray.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): This
Nick (reference, not reviewed): one was a charity auction. The proceeds went to the GOA.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): Something to keep in mind. shit.
Nick (reference, not reviewed): 45 bids on this here bad boy. This is, as discussed in the other show, a Glock Off
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): that
Nick (reference, not reviewed): is Turkish and made by or imported by Daria Arms.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): It's
Nick (reference, not reviewed): got some other, you know, like interchangeable back straps and
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): magwells
Nick (reference, not reviewed): and stuff that you can. Swap around, and I
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): think
Nick (reference, not reviewed): it might have some other
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): nifty
Nick (reference, not reviewed): little things that it does.
Nick (reference, not reviewed): This one has fiber optic sights. It's, like I said, gray in finish,
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): and
Nick (reference, not reviewed): this one is new.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): Do
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): you notice the guy holding that gun in the pictures has white gloves on? Yeah. Like, bro, you need mechanics that are covered in grease to hold a Duria.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): All
Nick (reference, not reviewed): right. Bids are in.
Nick (reference, not reviewed): Jeremy says $350. Savage says 700. Shawn says 645.
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): No, I just want to say 45 bids. It is for charity. It's a $399 gun. That's where I got my bid from.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): Same.
Nick (reference, not reviewed): $471. This sold for $471.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): Being
Nick (reference, not reviewed): a charity auction, I thought it would go for more, but
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): you
Nick (reference, not reviewed): know.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): So
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): Jeremy
Nick (reference, not reviewed): is what it is.
Nick (reference, not reviewed): So Jeremy was $121 off.
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): I
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): went $400, $300,
Jeremy (reference, not reviewed): $350.
Jeremy (reference, not reviewed): I
Savage (manual, reviewed): started at $400, yeah.
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): I went $545, $645.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): All
Nick (reference, not reviewed): right. Here is the Palmetto State Armory Dagger Compact.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): This
Nick (reference, not reviewed): one is used. It is another Glock Off.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): It
Nick (reference, not reviewed): is green. It's got some rubbery grips, adhesive grips on it. It looks like they're Talon grips. It's got a TLR1HL in Flat Dark Earth.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): That
Nick (reference, not reviewed): anodized tan that they do. It's got an O-Lite
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): O
Nick (reference, not reviewed): -Sight on it.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): It's
Nick (reference, not reviewed): got some giant windows in the slides so that you can see the flute twisted or the twisted flute bronze colored barrel that it's got. It's pretty, pretty flashy.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): That is a lot
Nick (reference, not reviewed): going on.
Nick (reference, not reviewed): Yeah, this one is used. It says it's in very good, excellent condition, which it looks pretty good. It's
Jeremy (reference, not reviewed): real tactical.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): Yeah,
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): the grip tape's coming off. It has a no light, so it's guaranteed to catch you on fire.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): But
Jeremy (reference, not reviewed): it
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): doesn't. The light
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): is a good light. It's one of my favorites. Yeah, it's not a bad
Savage (manual, reviewed): light.
Savage (manual, reviewed): a nice looking gun. I'd say it's a nice looking gun. It's okay.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): The light's
Jeremy (reference, not reviewed): worth more than the gun.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): It's
Nick (reference, not reviewed): got
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): like a
Nick (reference, not reviewed): weird,
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): yeah. It's
Nick (reference, not reviewed): got like a weird pig nose thing going on
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): with
Nick (reference, not reviewed): the way that the slide is cut here. It makes it look like the front of the slide rides higher than the back.
Nick (reference, not reviewed): Yeah. The
Nick (reference, not reviewed): compensator that it's got, it gives it like a snout.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): It's
Nick (reference, not reviewed): kind of weird looking.
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): Steven.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): Yeah, Stephen. Exactly. It's
Nick (reference, not reviewed): a Stephen
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): pistol.
Nick (reference, not reviewed): Anyway, 29 bids on this bad boy. It looks like all of the guesses are in. Jeremy says $325. Savage says $500. Shawn says $329. Fuck you. Actual sale price
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): was
Nick (reference, not reviewed): $655.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): Goddamn fuck. Bullshit. Wow.
Nick (reference, not reviewed): I personally believe that somebody paid way too much for this, but.
Savage (manual, reviewed): Yeah. I mean, yeah.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): Yeah.
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): Yeah. Oh my God. Can you imagine the dude that just paid $700 for this after shipping?
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): Okay. Look,
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): you know what? I don't want to talk shit. I have, I have daggers as well.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): What
Nick (reference, not reviewed): is a, what is an O sight cost?
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): I
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): mean, like that's probably a $200 optic.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): Damn.
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): Does it say what model it is?
Nick (reference, not reviewed): Let's see.
Nick (reference, not reviewed): It just says O-Lite optic.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): Is
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): it an O-Lite or an O-Sight?
Nick (reference, not reviewed): O-Sight is like the
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): product. It O
Nick (reference, not reviewed): -Lite.
Nick (reference, not reviewed): It says O-Lite.
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): Okay.
Nick (reference, not reviewed): Yeah. O-Lite and O-Sight are the same
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): thing. So
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): that is the big one.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): That
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): one
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): right
Nick (reference, not reviewed): there. is
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): 195
Nick (reference, not reviewed): on the O-Lite website. Okay. Yeah.
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): Yeah.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): That's
Nick (reference, not reviewed): about what I would say. Damn.
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): And
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): now I've to clear
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): my fucking browser history because I accidentally went to Olight.
Nick (reference, not reviewed): It looks like $160 on Amazon.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): Damn.
Nick (reference, not reviewed): And then what? You can pick up one of those flashlights for $150 or so?
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): Yeah. So
Nick (reference, not reviewed): that's like $300. And then what? The dagger goes on sale all the time for
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): $250.
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): Yeah, but then it looks
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): like it has an upgraded
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): trigger. It's got the fluted... Coated,
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): anodized
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): or whatever barrel.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): Like,
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): I mean, somebody put, and then the compensator, like somebody put money into this. I just don't understand why.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): But
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): you know what? Good for
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): them.
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): I hope you
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): enjoy this. hope
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): it's a badass gun for you.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): All
Nick (reference, not reviewed): right. Last gun. Taurus G2C.
Nick (reference, not reviewed): This is a
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): compact
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): pistol from Taurus.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): This
Nick (reference, not reviewed): one is used. It says it has mild wear and scratches, but. But that it remains in good condition. However, I would say that
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): those
Nick (reference, not reviewed): are,
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): I
Nick (reference, not reviewed): don't know, maybe like if you rubbed it with some oil, some of those marks would
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): go away. But a
Nick (reference, not reviewed): lot of them...
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): Like
Nick (reference, not reviewed): it was carried in a pocket with keys or something.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): This
Nick (reference, not reviewed): one does not come with a magazine. Good. It says
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): clean
Nick (reference, not reviewed): lines
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): and reliable tourist engineering does not come with a
Nick (reference, not reviewed): magazine. Clean lines and reliable tourist engineering make this a solid everyday carry option.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): This
Nick (reference, not reviewed): one had 28 bids when the auction ended.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): You
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): know what? Hold on. I'm changing my bid.
Nick (reference, not reviewed): And Shawn's changing his bid.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): Okay,
Nick (reference, not reviewed): submitted. All right.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): We
Nick (reference, not reviewed): are all
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): locked
Nick (reference, not reviewed): in here. Jeremy says 200. Savage says 75.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): Shawn
Nick (reference, not reviewed): says 171. And this sold for 140 bucks.
Savage (manual, reviewed): Damn it.
Nick (reference, not reviewed): I
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): was
Savage (manual, reviewed): at 150, motherfucker.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): So,
Nick (reference, not reviewed): Shawn was $31 off,
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): making
Nick (reference, not reviewed): him the closest.
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): don't matter.
Nick (reference, not reviewed): Yeah. However, yeah, Savage actually
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): got
Nick (reference, not reviewed): three tonight.
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): Damn. Oh, I did.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): Oh, yeah. Nice.
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): Okay,
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): Savage.
Nick (reference, not reviewed): Let's see.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): Did
Nick (reference, not reviewed): I not click one of the things?
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): Oh,
Nick (reference, not reviewed): finalized game.
Nick (reference, not reviewed): Sorry, just trying to remember how the thing works.
Nick (reference, not reviewed): Right,
Nick (reference, not reviewed): right. apparently I can't remember that all of a sudden. Yeah, I got zero points tonight. Damn, Nick. I forgot to unclick myself.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): Yeah,
Nick (reference, not reviewed): Savage had three. Jeremy had two. Shawn had one and also the theme point.
Nick (reference, not reviewed): So, yeah, good work, Savage.
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): Yeah,
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): good job,
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): Savage.
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): Jeremy, fucking awful. God,
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): embarrassing.
Jeremy (reference, not reviewed): What the fuck
Jeremy (reference, not reviewed): is
Jeremy (reference, not reviewed): wrong with you? I'm sorry I didn't guess it on the first go round.
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): And now that puts me one point ahead. Thank God I got that theme because
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): I played so bad.
Nick (reference, not reviewed): Shawn edges Jeremy and he's
Nick (reference, not reviewed): now at 27
Nick (reference, not reviewed): points. Jeremy is at 26 and second. Excuse me. Savage is at 19 points and I am still trailing behind at three. But the year is young and,
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): you
Nick (reference, not reviewed): know, maybe there's time for me to catch up.
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): You know, I believe in you, Nick. I think you could do it.
Nick (reference, not reviewed): Yeah, let's see. I'd have to win every game. I'd have to get all of the themes, and I'd have to get a bunch of dead-on guesses.
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): Dude, have we ever had a game this close for the leader?
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): This late in the year? I don't know if we have. I don't think so.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): Let
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): me see
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): what my plaque It's
Nick (reference, not reviewed): usually like neck and neck for the first six months or so, and then...
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): Someone pulls away.
Nick (reference, not reviewed): Pulls away, yeah.
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): Yeah, because we only have two more months. Two and a half more months.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): Yeah,
Nick (reference, not reviewed): we're getting close.
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): God.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): What
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): was tonight's missed tally? Sorry.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): I've
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): got it up here.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): I'm sorry.
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): Savage was average $107.80 off. Jeremy, $140.20. And me, $163.00 average off.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): Damn.
Savage (manual, reviewed): Yeah, but look at our totals. Like the fucking $100,000. Jesus Christ. God damn it, Nick. Some of those are just fucking.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): Well,
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): some of them are machine guns that went for $45,000 and we guessed seven.
Jeremy (reference, not reviewed): Yeah. I won that one. I was actually rather close.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): I
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): know you were. But for the season missed tally, I'll just say the numbers. For the season, I'm $111,402.98 off. Savage is $117,816.69 off. Nice. And Jeremy's $125,564.78 off.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): We
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): need to get a bonus point for whoever's got the best season missed, Holly.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): Because
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): it's
Savage (manual, reviewed): me.
Savage (manual, reviewed): Well, what counts as best?
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): The
Savage (manual, reviewed): least.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): Oh,
Savage (manual, reviewed): okay.
Nick (reference, not reviewed): It's me. The person losing the worst.
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): No, because
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): that's Jeremy.
Nick (reference, not reviewed): Wait, are we going off the total or the average?
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): I
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): think it would be the same, right?
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): It
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): is.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): Oh,
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): no.
Nick (reference, not reviewed): It's not.
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): Wait, because how's Jeremy only
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): minus
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): $23,000?
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): We
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): should check that math.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): You
Savage (manual, reviewed): wrote this shit. Your AI did, sorry.
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): Fucking weeks ago. All right, let's go take a look at the listeners and see how they did. Five-way tie between Dustin Does, Plow Guy Dave, Outlaw, Dusky Econ, and Junior Mag. Looks like a different winner for every single one of them tonight. And then Plow Guy Dave from the Let's Go Hunt podcast came out with the tiebreaker. And that was... What episode of We Like Shooting was the AK guy, Brandon Herrera, a guest?
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): And
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): then let me go down.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): I don't
Savage (manual, reviewed): even remember. We had him as a guest.
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): Yeah. Brandon Herrera was on WLS 340. Angry Pipe making Outlaw tonight's listener leaderboard winner. Boom. Congrats on that one.
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): Thank you.
Jeremy (reference, not reviewed): I wonder how many people remember we had Matt Best and his whole crew on way back. I remember that. That
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): was
Savage (manual, reviewed): a really weird one. They were awkward, I think.
Savage (manual, reviewed): They were drunk.
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): I was so annoyed.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): That
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): was the beginning of the end of having guests on the show.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): But we still
Savage (manual, reviewed): have guests on the show.
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): Occasionally, but mostly it's just people we want to talk to.
Savage (manual, reviewed): Yeah.
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): Which is kind of nice. Thank you, Nick. Good gunfights. Did you actually do that before the show or did you do that while we were doing the show?
Nick (reference, not reviewed): No, I did it before the
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): show. Oh,
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): that's fucking
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): awesome.
Nick (reference, not reviewed): I'm sorry. I was like, you know what? It'd be funny if I read through, because I've done it before. I think it's entertaining. Previously, you guys haven't caught it.
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): Honestly, dude, 4.19 was the only reason that I caught it.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): Because
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): I was like, oh shit, that was the exact gun that they were talking about in the first question of Dear WLS. Dang it.
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): Savage, do you have any guns with night sights?
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): No,
Savage (manual, reviewed): I don't.
Savage (manual, reviewed): Why? What the fuck? I don't know. I just hadn't. Done it. Oh.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): No, there's somebody that would
Nick (reference, not reviewed): probably help with that.
Savage (manual, reviewed): This of
Savage (manual, reviewed): reminds, this has reminded me of that Golden Axe. Some of the characters from that cartoon.
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): Savage be like,
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): I
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): don't have any.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): And
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): Nick's like,
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): I
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): need to use the voice effects more often. Because Jeremy's like, hey, what's up, guys? Then Savage is like,
Savage (manual, reviewed): hey, guys, what's happening?
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): He's
Savage (manual, reviewed): dumb.
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): And then Jeremy's like.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): Anyway.
Savage (manual, reviewed): I'm going to take your mom and
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): beep.
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): Nick, what could Savage do about this whole night site debacle?
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): He
Nick (reference, not reviewed): could go to
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): nightvision
Nick (reference, not reviewed): .com.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): Is
Nick (reference, not reviewed): that the website? It is.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): It's a website. Is that the one?
Nick (reference, not reviewed): Go to nightvision.com and then. Look to see what sights they have
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): that
Nick (reference, not reviewed): would fit a gun that he owns.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): I
Nick (reference, not reviewed): think he could get some. Yeah. could put them on his gun.
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): Savage, tell me some of the... Tell me what gun you would want to put the sights on, and I'll see if they have sights for it. They probably don't because it's weird shit,
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): but...
Savage (manual, reviewed): Well, I mean, my OG mechanic,
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): you
Savage (manual, reviewed): know,
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): was
Savage (manual, reviewed): kind of nice. I like that one.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): Would you want... They definitely... Sorry,
Savage (manual, reviewed): go ahead. No, I interrupted you. I'm sorry.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): I
Savage (manual, reviewed): was going to say that they... Definitely probably don't have it for a 6906.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): Yeah. Would
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): you want optics ready or would you want just standard minimal?
Savage (manual, reviewed): Oh, standard minimal. Yeah, there's no way. I don't have a way to put optics on my OG Canik.
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): Oh, yeah, that's right. Okay, so let's see. What
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): model is that?
Savage (manual, reviewed): Even then, there's also the fucking, what is this? The Ross Martin. That's also, that'd be great when they have it on.
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): Comes with night sights. Mine did.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): It
Savage (manual, reviewed): did?
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): Yeah.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): With the
Savage (manual, reviewed): front post?
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): Yeah. Depends on what model you have, but mine did.
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): Nope. Nope. Not on mine. Yeah. Mine actually. Yeah. On that one, it did. Okay. Well, what old model of Kanik do you have?
Savage (manual, reviewed): TP9SA.
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): TP9SA. Well, Savage, you're in luck because if you go to nightvision.com.
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): And click
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): on Handgun Models Canic. They do have options for pretty much every single one of those models, including Savage's TP9SA. Savage, would you want a white ring around the tritium, an orange ring, or a yellow ring?
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): Oh,
Savage (manual, reviewed): jeez.
Savage (manual, reviewed): That's tough. think orange would be kind of dope.
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): Okay.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): I like
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): it. I like it. And would you want the square notch rear and front or just the front side only?
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): I
Savage (manual, reviewed): mean, you kind of have to do the front both, right? I mean.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): Yeah. Some
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): people like a blacked out rear side. Not me. I like the three dots when I'm looking at
Savage (manual, reviewed): night sights personally.
Savage (manual, reviewed): For sure. Yeah.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): And
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): then rear ring color on these is standard. But yeah, go. Basically, do all that. TP9SA. Looks like for the set, front and rear, $108. You can add it to car right now. Oh,
Savage (manual, reviewed): they do have
Savage (manual, reviewed): TP9SA.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): Yeah.
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): You could even use coupon code WLS's life for 10% off and pay $98 for that. And you could either pay a gun shop between $20 and $50 to put them on, or you can do it yourself.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): Or I could just use
Savage (manual, reviewed): a fucking punch and do it myself.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): Exactly. And
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): Canix aren't too bad, honestly. Uh, so yeah, nightvision.com coupon code WLS is life and Savage. It is time for the news. Now I know that your first story is probably going to be the ATF stuff.
Savage (manual, reviewed): Well, I was hoping it was, is there a problem with that?
Savage (manual, reviewed): It is not.
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): And in fact, I spent three hours today putting together a report of
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): specifics. So maybe.
Savage (manual, reviewed): Maybe you should, since you put in three hours worth of work, I definitely didn't put in three hours worth of
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): work. We'll
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): introduce it and then I'll kind of talk about some specifics.
Savage (manual, reviewed): Okay. Well, I can basically, the NFA is over. No, that's not the case. So the ATF has issued some new guidance, which is very helpful. And so far it's looking pretty cool. It says that they will not enforce requirements for individuals. To apply and receive ATF approval before making or transferring SBRs, SBSs, suppressors,
Savage (manual, reviewed): and AOWs. So you don't have to ask permission. You don't have to register. Unless, as far as I understand, you live in one of the shitty states like I do. And that Shawn does. And then, I don't know, did they clarify whether... Let me see for those... Did they clarify whether they're actually going to support that still, or are they still working on that shit?
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): Yeah, they are. They said that people can still voluntarily submit the forms as expected. So, yeah, this basically came out last Friday. The director said we would have something by the end of the week, and then he waited until the very last moment to release it, which, you know, fine. Like, they had to get it right. I'm not going to. Rush that, even though I know we're all excited. This all became effective two days, think, after they released it, which was October 9th. And they
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): adopted nationwide non-enforcement of specified NFA requirements for suppressors, SBRs, SPSs, and AOWs. Now, a lot of my information came from two videos from two guys that I think do really good analysis, and that is Curtis from the VSO Gun Channel and Mike from Mr. Guns and Gear. Basically, these things all remain legally defined NFA items because Congress did not repeal the NFA or remove those categories. Machine guns, destructive devices remain
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): subject to full NFA requirements. And yeah, so like as Savage mentioned, we got here because Congress reduced in the big part of the big, beautiful bill to make transfer taxes on those four categories to zero. Texas court, eventually district court. Issued an injunction protecting specific parties. The DOJ chose and was ordered by the President of the United States, Donald J. Trump, not to appeal. A separate enforcement policy extends practical relief nationwide.
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): So,
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): what
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): happens at the counter
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): unless
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): you're restricted by state stuff? Dealer form 4473, applicable background checks and record keeping still apply. Appropriate business licensing and SOT requirements remain for FFLs. Federal NFA registration pathways remain available voluntarily for covered items, which is important to people, Washington, Colorado, and a bunch of other places.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): Federal
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): NFA registration, sorry, SBR, SBS dealer transfers have a separate Gun Control Act approval requirement and ATF is currently developing a replacement process. And says it will not enforce that provision in the meantime. As I just mentioned and as Savage asked, that does not override state restrictions.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): So
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): state laws and crossing state lines. Federal non-enforcement doesn't change state statutes or...
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): Which is very interesting because that could de facto result in a gun registry because if you're moving back and forth between state lines and filing the Form 20,
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): they
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): would have basically all the information of everything that you are moving back and forth. Keep this in mind. If you have an SBR, you're traveling somewhere, doing something like that, you still have to do the Form 20 for interstate movement of SBRs and SBSs. That has not gone away.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): The
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): temporary dealer transfer policy does not waive that travel restriction. Suppressors and AOWs are not on the Form 20, but other restrictions can still apply. And the ATF warns that safe passage protection for unregistered items is uncertain. Engraving and repairs. ATF includes NFA markings requirements and its non-enforcement policy.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): So
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): if you manufacture your SBR, it seems from this that you would not have those, well, they would not enforce those NFA marking requirements. However, licensed manufacturers still have GCA serialization duties, and there are rules against obliterating serial numbers, so it's not like you can scratch off ones that you already did.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): The
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): FAQ also addresses unregistered suppressors sent to manufacturers for repair, and they would be declining enforcement of the NFA's unregistered interstate transport prohibition for those shipments.
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): The biggest unsolved problems is that unregistering isn't readily reversible. So if there is an item that you have put on the NFRTR, I think, NFR, yeah, NFRTR. There is no way to have that reversed and have it removed. Mr. Guns and Gear in his video specifically says he's tried to do that twice in the past for things that had been destroyed and literally never got any movement. He ended up keeping the destroyed items, which I believe are suppressors. And then anytime there was an
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): audit or something like that, he would just show them the destroyed item and it would be fine. But there is no mechanism nor method at this point to remove things from the NFRTR.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): Court
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): or policy. Okay, here's the important part. Lenny DW sent a $5 rumble rant. Says this feels like the pistol grip stuff again, like legal limbo. And then he corrects to pistol brace. Earlier, Dusky Econ sent a $2 rumble rant that said $22. I totally spaced out reading that.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): Now,
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): here's the thing.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): They
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): have a disclaimer in there
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): that
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): says court or policy changes could restore enforcement.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): And
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): the DOJ declining to appeal does not guarantee any permanent protection.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): And
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): that there is no promised grandfathering or general opportunity to register later, meaning that it would be in the Attorney General at the time's discretion
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): whether
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): to offer any kind of amnesty for registration of unregistered NFA firearms.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): So
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): here's the thing.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): None
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): of this is set in stone. Congress basically has to repeal the NFA for us to be protected. Because here's exactly what can happen.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): If
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): in the next presidential election,
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): the
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): Democrats take the White House and Congress and the Senate,
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): the
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): first thing that they will do,
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): one
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): of the very first things, and I fucking
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): think
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): that I'm wrong, challenge me, and then
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): we
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): will see,
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): is
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): they will make the tax. For any kind of NFA item, probably $4,000. Because $200.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): It's
Jeremy (reference, not reviewed): about $5,000 now.
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): Yeah, it's $45,000 with inflation.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): It'll be $6
Jeremy (reference, not reviewed): ,000 by then.
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): Yeah, that's the first thing that they'll do is do that. So then any of these items that we transferred on 4473s, created ourselves, any of that immediately would be illegal NFA firearms
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): or
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): devices or items.
Jeremy (reference, not reviewed): I don't know if they'd win that one in court. They could
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): try that because it was legal when I did it.
Jeremy (reference, not reviewed): Yeah, ex post facto, I
Savage (manual, reviewed): think.
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): Yeah. I mean, there's a lot of content out there by a lot of smart people, and they think that they could get away with it. So I'm telling you, this is a good thing. Do not be a doomer. This is
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): a great thing. The other
Jeremy (reference, not reviewed): part of that is so many people are going to do this by the time that happens. We might get the common use.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): Oh,
Jeremy (reference, not reviewed): yeah.
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): Perhaps, but some people are going to spend time in jail before that happens. Yeah, because like, right, court cases, like to go to the Supreme Court, it's years and years and years.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): Yeah,
Savage (manual, reviewed): there is a good thing, though, in that, you know, the Supreme Court doesn't like to deal with criminals. But if the government were to pass a law that de facto made people criminals, even though they were obeying the law beforehand, and then they got arrested, that's an entirely different case. And that would be something the Supreme Court would really want to pick up.
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): Yeah. And the five years that you spend in prison until that time would be pretty dope.
Savage (manual, reviewed): Well, you know,
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): at
Savage (manual, reviewed): least we'd be with friends, right?
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): So yeah, I will say this. Like
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): if you're
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): considering not voting, if you think that voting doesn't matter, like this is one of the best wins we've had in my lifetime. Like which it's astronomically awesome. And here's the thing. It doesn't affect me at all. Like fucking Colorado sucks ass and this doesn't affect me at all. And I am so excited for this change. Like it is amazing, but we need to do the rest. We need to put pressure on the politicians to now.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): Get
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): rid of the NFA to do whatever they need to do to make this change permanent because it can and will be changed the second that the Democrats get back into power. I promise you this is a very important issue to them and they will do it day one.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): So
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): keep that in mind. Like get off your fucking lazy ass and go vote. And
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): we
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): have had so many wins for the Second Amendment in the last two years. It's astronomical. It's because the president has not just put into place. A cabinet that is willing to do these things and willing to actually obey the law. But like Harmeet Dillon and we have a fucking director of the ATF who's literally just bagging on libtards all day long on Twitter, which is pretty awesome. And just talking shit, which is pretty great and seems to be a guy who appreciates and respects the Second Amendment.
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): Like these are good things. All of these things together. And all the politicians that we've put into office have done these things for us as Americans. And for you California guys, I get it. For you Washington guys, I get it. For Colorado people, I get it. It doesn't really affect us yet. Maybe it will. Maybe it won't. But it's a huge win for the Second Amendment in the United States. And we all have to be mindful of that. And you got to get out and fucking vote. And you got to vote for the party that's going to keep this stuff happening. Like,
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): I
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): can't stress that enough.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): You
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): have to fucking do it.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): So
Savage (manual, reviewed): there's another edge case that somebody brought up today, and I don't think it's serious, but I do think it's interesting, in that there are probably a number of NFA items, very old NFA items, that were probably never actually registered.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): And
Savage (manual, reviewed): because they weren't manufactured recently, they still cannot be registered. And therefore... They would still be illegal for people to own. This is like a Maxim suppressor from back in the day that was in somebody's fucking garage or something. And I get it. It's an edge case. I just saw somebody posting about it, like 2A something. I can't remember what his name is, but he had a real hard-on for it today. I was like, I get it.
Savage (manual, reviewed): I don't think it's going to be that big of a deal, but I get it. Yeah, 2A history on Twitter.
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): Wait, so what?
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): It's non
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): -registered things that people just never registered.
Savage (manual, reviewed): Yeah, basically. But they still don't have a way to register them.
Savage (manual, reviewed): Yeah, it's called a
Savage (manual, reviewed): Form 2 or a Form 1.
Savage (manual, reviewed): But
Savage (manual, reviewed): it's already, yeah, they're already manufactured.
Jeremy (reference, not reviewed): Oh, well, I mean,
Jeremy (reference, not reviewed): who's to
Jeremy (reference, not reviewed): say I didn't destroy the tube and make a new one?
Savage (manual, reviewed): Yeah, I know. And that's why I was saying it's probably not that big of a deal. But he was like, oh, it's going to be a felony. I'm like, yeah. You're talking about like grandpas and grandmas that like who's going to fucking go after them? Like the kids are probably just going to throw the shit in the trash at some point if they don't
Savage (manual, reviewed): know any better.
Jeremy (reference, not reviewed): ATF will kill you over.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): I
Savage (manual, reviewed): mean, yeah, they have in the past and they probably still will. But like they have to know it's there.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): You
Savage (manual, reviewed): know,
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): I
Savage (manual, reviewed): thought it was interesting. Again, I don't think it's the best thing, but he was saying a good idea might be to offer another amnesty period. But then like. If they weren't going to tell before that they had this shit, I'm sure they're not going to fucking tell the game.
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): Especially for something that could just as easy. Like, okay, now you fucking register this shit. And now in two years, Democrat takes the White House.
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): Yeah.
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): And now they're literally going to kick your door and shoot your dog. Fuck your wife.
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): Yeah.
Savage (manual, reviewed): Yep. Yep. Anyway, I just thought it was interesting.
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): Yeah.
Savage (manual, reviewed): Okay, next one up here, because we already did the other one about the legal risks that are coming up in our future, has to do with our good friends from March for Our Lives. So they thought they would do a smart on Twitter. And it was really not smart. So March for Our Lives made this post. The United States has more guns in civilian hands than every military in the world combined.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): Fuck
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): yeah.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): And
Savage (manual, reviewed): everybody was like,
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): fuck
Savage (manual, reviewed): yeah.
Savage (manual, reviewed): Yeah, that's
Savage (manual, reviewed): pretty awesome.
Savage (manual, reviewed): America. Fuck yeah.
Savage (manual, reviewed): It just got fucking like totally ratioed, like in the worst possible way. And like accidentally. Became an advertisement for guns.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): Yeah, dude,
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): I saw that post and all the responses were like, fuck. Yes, they're like, I'm already erect. I can't get any more erect.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): And
Savage (manual, reviewed): that's why I love these guys. You know, they're so bad for their cause that they're good for us.
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): Pretty, pretty, pretty great.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): Yeah,
Savage (manual, reviewed): I mean, just scrolling through these posts. It's like every single one is like dunking on them. Like, yeah, we know. We fucking kick ass.
Savage (manual, reviewed): Yeah,
Savage (manual, reviewed): it's great. I fucking love it. Fuck those guys. Same. So next one up here on the docket, your favorite person and mine, Mark Smith, talking with one of our local guys. God, what's his name? Two Tinnies. I can't remember his name, but there's another local guy who does
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): stuff
Savage (manual, reviewed): on 2A, and he's real good in Washington State. Of course, I'm forgetting his name, but they'll come to me at some point. So Mark Smith gave his opinion on the two AR-15 ban cases that are up for review in front of the Supreme Court. And, you know, it's looking really, really fucking good. And then we're also getting support from the DOJ. So the DOJ filed a
Savage (manual, reviewed): support of the challenge in a sense, asked for its own time at oral argument. And he says here, the mere fact that the United States Department of Justice and Solicitor General supports us is a very big deal. Next thing came from Attorneys General of 27 states that told the court that the AR-15 and comparable semi-automatic rifles fall squarely under Second Amendment protection. Thirdly, from Georgetown, Professor William English, his updated
Savage (manual, reviewed): National Firearms Survey puts the number of privately owned AR-15s in the country at 40 million with another 20 million semi-auto rifles of comparable configuration on top of that,
Savage (manual, reviewed): And in closing, Smith has tied the pending cases back to the ballot box. And obviously, without the current administration putting in Barrett, Gorsuch, or Kavanaugh, we would not be in this spot. So there does have to be some kudos for that. And also, you know, the no NFA tax thing under the one beautiful. Bill and Harmeet Dillian. I mean, we just have a lot of stuff going in our favor. And I'm thinking that these AR-15
Savage (manual, reviewed): ones will really help the case for things like suppressors, short-barreled rifles, and short-barreled shotguns. Because obviously there's going to be a shit ton of those in common use. They're going to be very clear about, I mean, they've not really been being around the bush. But every anti-gun judge has been doing their can to misinterpret what they've been trying to say for so long. So I'm thinking they're going to be very clear about what guns are protected,
Savage (manual, reviewed): even though they have been clear in the past.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): You
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): know,
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): I'm
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): really looking forward to this one. I really hope it goes our way. I do want to step back to about an hour and a half ago when Jeremy said meat swaps instead of swap meats.
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): Did anyone
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): notice
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): that?
Nick (reference, not reviewed): I did, and I wanted to make a joke about how I bet he swaps meat. So that should be the
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): episode title. I don't
Jeremy (reference, not reviewed): want to swap meats. I want to meet people and swap with them.
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): Bro, I wrote it down and wrote WTF underneath it, and
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): then I
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): just noticed it written down on my notebook. Did you mean to say that?
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): Yeah.
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): Okay. All right, well. Now that means the show title is either going to be Meat Swaps from Jeremy or I don't like the way you guys are saying come with a hard C. So hard C
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): from Nick.
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): Anyway, go ahead,
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): Savage. I apologize. I've been meaning to talk about that for like an hour and a half.
Savage (manual, reviewed): I'm glad you were able to follow your tism to where it led. Thank you. So good news on that result. And now to make more fun of anti-gun morons, there is another paper or research. Thing done by The Trace, our favorite anti-gun publication. And they're trying to
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): say
Savage (manual, reviewed): things with numbers, but they're being really bad about it. So let me see. It says here that there's a... Pawn shop on one of the main roads in town, smack here in the heart of the retail district of the city of this Tom Knighton. And because of their location, they're probably the first stop for people looking to buy things like firemen. And as a result, they have a lot of guns they sell
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): that
Savage (manual, reviewed): turn up in the hands of criminals years later, which is usually the case. Usually time to crime for guns is somewhere between 8 to 13 years, depending on the state. So it's bad that that happens, obviously. But is that evidence of wrongdoing? According to Trace, they obviously think that that's what the gun stores are doing. They're selling guns to criminals and making sure that gun crime is up. So according to them, selling firearms to Americans, exercising their Second Amendment rights is not evidence
Savage (manual, reviewed): of wrongdoing. Neither is discovering years later that police recovered a gun, a retailer. That distinction is at the center of the limits of crime gun trace data, a rebuttal published by the University of Wyoming's Farm Research Center. Attorneys Jason A. Davis and some other guys challenged the trace's efforts to use California. California Firearm Recovery Statistics to cast suspicion on Turner's Outdoorsman. Turner's is the firearm shop. The author explains
Savage (manual, reviewed): how narrow statistics, expansive definitions, and inconsistent comparisons produce a much more accusatory story than the evidence supports. For gun owners, the stakes extend beyond one retailer. Records of lawful commerce are being... Used to put the business serving them under suspicion. Trace's coverage claims it turns accounts for roughly a fifth of California's firearm sales and a quarter of its guns used in crimes. Of course,
Savage (manual, reviewed): people don't realize that once a gun
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): goes
Savage (manual, reviewed): through the store, there's a background check. So the person taking the gun out of that store has passed the background check. Especially in California, they have to go through the 10-day waiting period and all the other bullshit that they have to go through in order to get a firearm. So it has been checked and double-checked that the person leaving that store legally has that gun to the best of that gun store's knowledge. What happens after it leaves that store
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): they
Savage (manual, reviewed): still want to hold the store responsible for?
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): It's fucking stupid. It's stupid. This whole thing can be summed up as the trace thinks that the mechanism put in place to try to track down firearms that doesn't actually create a gun registry and doesn't violate our individual civil rights is being used to gun traffic.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): Like,
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): shut the fuck up, you dumb fucks.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): Yeah,
Savage (manual, reviewed): basically what it comes down to is straw buyers. You know, there's different kinds of straw buyers, ones that are obvious, ones that are not. You literally have to use your best judgment as an FFL. And if that person is acting normal and passes the background check and doesn't say anything fucking stupid, you have no way of knowing what they're going to do once they leave your store. And you have no control over what happens to that gun after it leaves the store.
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): Exactly. Same with fucking a vehicle.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): Like
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): the car
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): dealer
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): is not responsible if someone drives and, you know, runs over a child or drinks and drives. Like it's not the fucking. Car dealerships problem. Nor should it be. Nor should it ever be.
Jeremy (reference, not reviewed): And I'm almost
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): reticent
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): to even say like, you know, it's not Honda's problem when you get a DUI. But then I'm kind of afraid that they'll just be like, oh, good point. We should sue fucking car dealerships for people doing things wrong with their cars.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): Yeah,
Jeremy (reference, not reviewed): it's ridiculous. Well, no, what you do is you target the companies that these people own for things that... They have no control over.
Savage (manual, reviewed): Yeah, but. Yeah, it comes down to the gun laws failed because they're fucking moronic and don't work. Therefore, it's the fault of the people who are following the fucking laws.
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): Yeah.
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): Hey, guys, guys, guys. Listen, I think that we should put in place a law where they sue the companies that make fursuits for furries every time they molest a kid.
Savage (manual, reviewed): Well, OK, hold on now. I'm with you.
Savage (manual, reviewed): I'm immediately
Savage (manual, reviewed): with you.
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): They'd be
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): out of business in a week.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): Yeah.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): dumb
Savage (manual, reviewed): shit.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): What are you
Savage (manual, reviewed): going to do?
Nick (reference, not reviewed): Yeah. It's racist against furries. Good.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): Fuck them.
Savage (manual, reviewed): Isn't it speciesist? And honestly,
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): if
Savage (manual, reviewed): they're animals,
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): are
Savage (manual, reviewed): they in hunting season?
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): Excuse me.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): You
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): mean child predation?
Savage (manual, reviewed): You know, potato, potato.
Savage (manual, reviewed): Is somebody giving out hunting licenses? Can we do this?
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): I
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): don't know.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): I
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): don't know. Was that all your story,
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): Savage?
Savage (manual, reviewed): That's all the ones I had. There were some weird leftovers from like two weeks ago in there. I don't know.
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): Yeah.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): I
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): need to go through the stuff that I recycle. I need to have it send me a report of recycled stuff and see if I want to continue it or not. But
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): in
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): the meantime, I'll just recycle those so I can take a look at them. It's like stuff that I see throughout the week that I might find interesting. But
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): by
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): the time I get to Monday, I'm like, not so much.
Savage (manual, reviewed): Yep.
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): Bowers Group does make great cans. We talked about them in Double Tap. So I would just highly recommend if you have something and you want it to be really, really, really fucking quiet.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): Go
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): take a look at what Bowers Group has to offer. Bowersgroup.com, coupon code WLS. We'll save you some money. And yeah, we're all big fans, have been for a long time. Jeremy, reviews.
Jeremy (reference, not reviewed): Review the fish. The only thing I missed less than the tumor I had removed from my spine is A.A. Rod. He was the tumor in my ears and hearing is way more important than walking.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): Okay,
Jeremy (reference, not reviewed): bro.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): Like,
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): that's fucked
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): up, because
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): he actually did have a tumor removed from his spine, and he actually had to relearn how to walk, and he still thinks that that's less bad than Aaron. Damn. Damn, player.
Jeremy (reference, not reviewed): That's
Jeremy (reference, not reviewed): brutal.
Jeremy (reference, not reviewed): Yeah, review
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): by Anonymous. Not a
Savage (manual, reviewed): tumor.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): If
Jeremy (reference, not reviewed): you ever heard the phrase, he's got a face for radio, referring to someone who is ugly, then Savage has the charisma to stand in a field like a steel fucking gong. He
Jeremy (reference, not reviewed): means well.
Jeremy (reference, not reviewed): Point made.
Jeremy (reference, not reviewed): He means well, but Jesus Christ, I'm a grown man with a stutter, but every time he reads the news, I catch myself saying, today, Junior? I never thought I'd say it, but I wish A.A. Rom would come back just to read the news, even if he couldn't fuck that one up. Anyways, the rest of you are
Jeremy (reference, not reviewed): sufficient enough that
Jeremy (reference, not reviewed): I don't regret being in the agency called or whatever it is now. Thanks for tickling my ear pussy twice a week.
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): Hey, you're welcome.
Jeremy (reference, not reviewed): Reviewed by Anonymous. Five squares. you've ever wondered what it would sound like if a handful of gun guys got trapped in a basement with microphones, unresolved beef, and way too much confidence, we like shooting as a show for you. The cast somehow manages to feel like a dysfunctional Thanksgiving dinner where everyone brought ammo instead of side dishes.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): A
Jeremy (reference, not reviewed): .A. Ron has the energy of a man who is either expertly steering the ship or actively watching it sink while pretending everything is fine. Half ringmaster, half hostage negotiator. Shawn sounds like the kind of guy who could either give you genuinely useful life advice or convince you to buy something absolutely ridiculous at 2 a.m. and somehow you'd thank him for it. Jeremy brings the vibe of a man who has seen things, regretted most of them, and still came back for another episode anyways. He feels like the human embodiment of this probably isn't OSHA approved.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): I'll
Jeremy (reference, not reviewed): take that. Nick sounds like he wandered into the show by accident and just never left, which honestly works. Every group needs that one guy who sounds like he's two seconds away from saying something either brilliant or completely unhinged. And then there's Savage, dear Lord. Listening to Savage read a news story is like watching someone try to parallel park a shopping cart with one wheel missing. The man cannot get through a single headline without turning into a live-action battle against
Jeremy (reference, not reviewed): syllables.
Jeremy (reference, not reviewed): Every sentence is
Jeremy (reference, not reviewed): the hostage
Jeremy (reference, not reviewed): situation. Every paragraph feels like it's being assembled from spare parts in real time. By the time he finishes one story, I've aged enough to qualify for Medicare. It's not even reading at that point. It's an endurance event. And yet, somehow, this disaster of a show is still entertaining. That's the most frustrating part. Despite the derailment, side quests, verbal train wrecks, and whatever fresh nonsense Savage is doing to the English language, the show is still weirdly fun to listen to. It has the exact energy of friends arguing in the garage while one guy tries to read the news off
Jeremy (reference, not reviewed): a phone with a cracked screen. So is it polished? No. Is it professional? Also no. Will Savage
Jeremy (reference, not reviewed): ever make
Jeremy (reference, not reviewed): it through a story cleanly? Science says no. Will I probably still listen again? Unfortunately, yes. Final verdict. If you like firearms, chaos, and hearing a man publicly lose fistfights with basic sentence structure, be

Jeremy (reference, not reviewed): That one wins. I like
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): that. That one wins. All right. What's the
Savage (manual, reviewed): suicide prevention?
Jeremy (reference, not reviewed): fish is going to be the fish
Jeremy (reference, not reviewed): is going to be. be mad at me because I'm going to see him in a couple of days.
Jeremy (reference, not reviewed): Nice.
Jeremy (reference, not reviewed): That last one wins. Any other week I gave it to him just for bashing Aaron that hard.
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): Goddamn. All right. Anonymous, if you left that last one, email automated at welikeshooting.com. Kristen will get you your winnings for the rest of you. Shawn (reference, not reviewed): I've told the story in the last one of how I read someone using it and how it was actually very, very useful and how they're still here because of it. So I think that's a great thing. 988 from your phone. can text or call if you need it. Nick, any last words before we
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): wind
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): this shit down?
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): Why
Nick (reference, not reviewed): not first words? Why is it always last words?
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): Okay.
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): What are the first words?
Nick (reference, not reviewed): How is it that you always do this to me? And I'm always like, just totally caught unprepared.
Nick (reference, not reviewed): Like this has been
Nick (reference, not reviewed): a continuing bit for a long time and I'm never ready for it ever. Um, I, I don't,
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): you
Nick (reference, not reviewed): know,
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): I
Nick (reference, not reviewed): never have any words of wisdom.
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): I was like, Nick, do you have any final words of wisdom? And you were just like, always prefer dangerous freedom over peaceful slavery. We love you. See you next time.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): I
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): would be like, so I would probably just end the show. So Nick, do you have any final words?
Nick (reference, not reviewed): Always, always prefer dangerous slavery over peaceful freedom.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): Shoot
Nick (reference, not reviewed): straight.
Nick (reference, not reviewed): Shawn loves you.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): Bye!
Jeremy (reference, not reviewed): Don't forget to swap your meat.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): Put your
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): meat in a place and swap it so you can hard see.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): I'm
Nick (reference, not reviewed): going to make a list of words of wisdom.
Unknown speaker (unknown, not reviewed): That's
Shawn (reference, not reviewed): a good idea. I don't believe you, though.
