“So I'm really excited to like start training some more and doing some stuff. Um, but overall class was awesome. I know that uh country boy guns and mike we've all talked since and we all got a lot out of it so really valuable the last time that i took a nightfire class nick you were there i think uh yeah i think so or if not that specific class uh we have taken one together before and it's like you start to fall apart i you know same same as usual start adding a bunch of tasks and you start to fall apart but the the previous time when nick and i took the course together at the end of the class i was so fucking frustrated because nothing that i had worked the way that i wanted it to so at that time i was like okay fuck this i am going to replace all of the equipment that failed me which was basically every light every red dot the enforce yeah all of the enforce is now in a bin i was literally just organizing that bin to get today and there's like seven enforced lights in there that i just took off of guns and don't use anymore so i am very happy to say that that solved almost all of my problems and i was pretty stoked about it overall now not all of my problems but most of my problems um i replaced every single light uh, all the red dots that I had did very well.”

night-fire basics class debrief

“So there's a couple of different things that I want to do. Number one, I want to quickly talk about the class, what I got out of it, what I thought of it overall. Number two, I want to talk about the gear that I used, compare and contrast it to the gear that I used in the last time that I shot a night fire class, tell you what worked, what didn't work and what improved.”

“Uh, Nick, please narrate for a moment. Okay. He is grabbing a rifle off the wall. he's bringing it around okay oh look at that he's back yeah here i am okay so i have two rifle slash carbines set up for night vision and just to only take one ammo i basically took my mp5 and i wanted to talk about the setup that i have on this as well so this is my ptr mp5 i have the midwest industries suppressor hand guard on it which is just absolutely the best thing that i've ever put on this on this gun i absolutely love it it gives me all the rail space that i need for all the different things that i have and i'm just very happy with it overall so i have the surefire scout light this is a white light and ir I replaced the Enforce lights that I had previously with this and this one the white light did perfect I could see the targets I could identify the targets and it just it did great it was bright enough it did exactly what I needed in both white light and IR and I'm very happy with it on the other side I have the tape switch that basically activates the light and then a laser Now on the top of this, I have a D-ball L2, which is IR and visible laser.”

That sounds like it's a... it's it means the it's translated it's the black horseman and it's for the legend of the black horseman uh no i am not familiar with the the legend of the black horseman i think yeah that's more the question is what is the uh what is the the story um the charo appears at dusk in streets and lonely sidewalks always looking for a pedestrian to whom to offer gold coins which he takes out of a small bag that he always carries around the waist so there you have it uh again that's sk guns and if you would like the charl negro it'll it'll be shipping next year by the way uh ammo squared says krista about the other ammo service that we were talking about thank you krista last but not least the new mdt magnesium drt chassis system so magnesium pretty light right yeah yeah i agree burns great too this chassis system will be 2249 dollars uh it'll fit remington 700 short action footprints comes in black or fde uh pretty expensive but you know if you're looking for a really lightweight uh chassis that's out there and i really like mdt stuff i gotta say yeah everything i have from them is fantastic um does this list await don't see it but that seems really important that does seem really important yeah two thousand two hundred fifty dollars um yeah very cool not in my tax bracket but very very cool yeah if you are uh 3.2 pounds okay huh so it's not like insanely light but it is pretty light yeah once you add a barrel and a optic and and it's got an enclosed forend for adding night vision and stuff yeah so i guess with all of that stuff included that is pretty light yeah typically the stuff that's lighter than that is like pretty basic and stripped down show is and uh that'll do it for the news if you're interested in night sights and i just i'll talk about it in the next show but i was just using night sights during a night shoot and i had some observations it was they they were effective i could see them um even like in shooting in the in the dark with a white light like i could see the sights um here was the nice thing.”
