question about ar barrel nut standardization
“This week's victims, Nick, don't you take the one from Carl? Okay. Carl with a K says, I'm working on putting a few AR pattern uppers together, and I'm wondering if there's any standardization in barrel nuts. One handguard had a nut that used one of the parts of my AR armorer's wrench.”

“Agreed. But it's commonly referred to as a Delta Ring. Yes, but there's also a standard GI barrel nut that exists, and it's actually common, and a lot of handguards build off of that. Like Geissele specifically doesn't.”

“You can buy the wrench for their barrel nut, but it's a separate purchase and doesn't come with it. Midwest Industries, our buddies over there, some of their stuff uses a standard GI nut, and some of it uses proprietary systems, but they do come with a wrench for all the ones that I've had. And it's just kind of all over the place, really.”
